Making the most of their evening, Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith attended the Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls basketball game in Miami, Florida last night (May 15).
The ?I Am Legend? hunk and his ?Karate Kid? kiddo enjoyed their primo courtside seats, and Will even stayed loyal to his hometown with a Philadelphia 76ers hat.
During a recent trip to Miami, Will and Jaden chatted with South Beach?s hit radio station Y100 and dished about their brand new flick ?After Earth.?
?I watched him with Jackie Chan in the ?Karate Kid? and I started getting jealous,? the ?Wild Wild West? star explained. ?I was like, I gotta work with my kid again. I was looking for something for us to work together and he liked the idea of ?After Earth? and we started developing it together as a family.?
Will continued, ?It actually came together pretty quick. From idea to the screen is only been about 2 and a half years, which in Hollywood time that?s fast.?

Will Smith showed up to Gabrielle Union’s 40th birthday party and got all jiggy with it. Whoa. Sorry. I had late 90?s flashback for a second. What I meant to say was Doug E. Fresh threw down a beat while Will Smith spat fresh rhymes. That’s how the cool kids say it, right? No? Whatever, man.*Flips hat sideways*
Of course Will sang part of theFresh Prince theme as well. He’s contractually obligated to sing that until the day he dies.

In the immediate aftermath of Tom Cruise and Katie?s split, many people were like, ?Er, why weren?t the tabloids on to this?? Well, I think they were. Granted, TomKat didn?t get as much attention as Brangelina and the Unholy Triangle, but Tom and Katie were featured regularly in all of the tabloids, and often the stories were of the same ?Tom is crazy, Katie is brainwashed? variety. While I do think you can ?slam? the tabs (and Radar and TMZ) for not being on top of some of the details of the TomKat situation in the weeks leading up to Katie?s divorce filing, I don?t think it?s fair to say that the tabs were completely clueless.
So, why am I discussing this now, in a post about Will Smith and Jada? Well, didn?t most of us think that Will and Jada would announce their separation before Tom and Katie? I certainly did. While I realize Will and Jada want the storyline to be ?We?re working things out,? for the past year (and longer), the tabloids have been reporting on and on about their marriage problems. It?s said that Will is pretty much over it. It?s said that he?s screwing around. It?s said that she is too. It?s also said that these two have closer ties to the Church of Scientology than most people believe.
So what about these photos of Will and Jada looking very much together at LAX? Are they really working things out? Is this a photo-op designed to ?prove? that they?re doing well despite the tabloid reports? Is this a reminder that at least one Hollywood couple is in it for the long haul? Or will I be using these photos in a few weeks when yet another divorce/separation announcement comes?

Looking thrilled to be back in their hometown, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted arriving at LAX airport on Tuesday (July 2).
The happy couple shared smiles as they made their way through the terminal and the ?Men in Black? star took some time to sign an autograph for an awaiting fan.

Will Smith promoted the hell out of Men In Black III for what seemed like two solid months. It paid off, though. Sort of. MIB III finally dethroned The Avengers and became the #1 film over the holiday weekend with a domestic box office of $55 million. I?m sure Will and producers were hoping for even more money in the opening weekend, but still – at least the box office won?t be an unmitigated disaster and the film will probably make its money back, with a little extra.
For his film promotional duties, Will brought out his wife of fourteen-and-a-half years, Jada. Over the past year (and more), the rumors have been persistent and detailed about Will and Jada?s relationship problems, and it really did seem like they were headed for a split. But something happened. I don?t know what. Some theorize that it was all just a business decision, that their money and power is built on Will and Jada as a happily married couple. But I choose to be optimistic and think that while they were having big problems, they found a way to work through it and come out stronger. That?s what it sounds like:
For Will Smith and his wife of nearly 15 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, it’s all about being supportive.
“We make the effort to always put the family first,” Smith told PEOPLE at last week’s Men in Black III premiere in New York City. “Being there for each other and being present with our kids is the most important thing. I take being a parent very seriously.”
The couple are parents to Trey, 19, Jaden, 13, and Willow, 11, and Will flew back to L.A. from New York nearly every weekend while filming Men in Black III.
They will celebrate their 15th anniversary in December. And despite rumors of marital trouble lately ? which Pinkett Smith recently said were ridiculous ? Smith says that, as a couple, they’re as strong as ever.
“What’s helped us is being supportive, no matter what the situation is,” he says. “I’m so lucky to have someone like Jada. She’s really an incredible woman, wife and mother.”
What he loves the most about his wife is that “she is just absolutely hardcore, like she absolutely is unfazed by the weight and the pressures of life. She is so calm and cool and easy in any situation. She can bear anything, and I just love that about her.”

Does Will sound like he?s reciting a prepared talking points memo that was given to him just minutes beforehand? Sure. Does Will make it sound sort of like they decided to stay together for their kids? Yep. But I also think that whatever happened over the past year was just a bad phase in their relationship, and they?ve worked some sh-t out since then.
That being said, I still find their body language so, so awkward. Remember when they would be all over each on red carpet after red carpet, and it just felt like Will adored his wife? And now it seems like he can barely look at her. But yes, they?re dealing with it.

Immersing themselves in the high-speed sporting event, Will Smith and Nicole Scherzinger were side-by-side at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix in Monte-Carlo, Monaco on Saturday afternoon (May 26).
The "Men In Black III" co-stars roamed the race course grounds while ending up spending the majority of their time at the Formula One Mc Laren Mercedes stand - as Nicole's boyfriend Lewis Hamilton races for the team.
The Monte Carlo Grand Prix track visit comes as Will and Nicole are reveling in the success of their just released Sci-Fi film topped the U.S. box office over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Having been released at an impressive 4,248 Theaters, the Barry Sonnenfeld directed film took in $18 million in ticket sales on Friday while four-day weekeend earnings are projected at a solid $75 million.

Anything can happen on the red carpet, and when Will Smith almost got kissed by Ukrainian reported Vitalii Sediuk, he reacted by slapping him.
Now, Sediuk has come forward with a new internet video in which he explains his own actions and apologizes to the ?Fresh Prince of Bel Air? star.
Vitalii begins, ?I do apologize for my behavior ? Now I understand that it was too much. I tried to kiss him on the cheek, but he moved his head so fast, then it turned out as if I wanted to kiss him in the ear. It was chaotic.?
?Of course after analyzing the story, I can say it was emotional impulse. I deeply respect him as an actor. I just wanted to do something to impress him.?

Maybe I?ve been doing this job for too long, but I don?t understand why this story is such a big deal. It?s the ?top story? on several different sites, and on several different media outlets. The headline? ?Will Smith slaps reporter after reporter tries to kiss him.? Eh?
The backstory: Will was at the Moscow premiere of Men In Black III, walking the red carpet and stopping to talk to nearly every media outlet (or flat-out every media outlet). Celebrities like Will (and like Tom Cruise) are old-school: when they?re promoting something, they will work a red carpet. HARD. They will make sure everybody gets a quote and some face-time. So, Will stops at one outlet, does a little interview, and then moves on to the next outlet, where a Ukrainian reporter is waiting for his moment to shine. The reporter shakes Will?s hand, kisses one of Will?s cheeks, twists around and kisses the other cheek, then moves in for a mouth-to-mouth kiss. Will shoves the guy away, and starts to walk to the next outlet, then reaches back and – using the back of his hand – slaps the reporter on his cheek. Will says to the next outlet, ?He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him.” Then Will continued down the line, giving interviews and autographs. As he tended to media duties ahead of the Moscow premiere of his new movie "Men In Black III", Will Smith made it clear that he's not one for kisses when it comes to greetings from guys.
The 43-year-old actor was at the Ritz Carlton in the Russian capital city when a Ukrainian reporter dove in to plant a smooch on Smith's face - which ended up being a mistake that the young man won't be forgetting anytime soon.
After first asking for a hug from the former "Fresh Prince" star, who kindly obliged, the journalist attempted to take things further with a liplock - with a startled Will saying, "What the hell is your problem?"
Reprimanding the reporter with a backhanded slap across the face, Will talked about the incident with other press members moments later, telling, "He tried to kiss me on the mouth. He's lucky I didn't try to sucker punch him. ... Sorry, I said that on camera."
Apparently, the Ukrainian media man is known for his penchant to kiss celebrities, with the Smith smooch attempt coming after Will recently voiced his support for gay marriages.

I don’t want to promote stereotypes but usually black people look real cool when they play sports. I say usually because that’s definitely not the case here.
