These are photos of Alyssa Milano at the premiere of Into The Woods last night. That hunter green peasant blouse with the corset is a bit ridiculous and her cleavage is OTT but it’s a period film so maybe she wanted to get into the spirit. She’s not actually in the movie, though.
Last month Alyssa shared a breastfeeding selfie on Instagram with her three month-old daughter, Elizabeth, go here to see. It’s a really nice photo that captures a fleeting time in her baby’s life. Alyssa, 41, also has son Milo, 3, with her husband of six years, CAA agent David Bugliari. Apparently the breastfeeding photo was somewhat controversial, because there are always going to be people who say clueless things like “OMG put it away.” My favorite comment was the first one, which concluded “a breastfeeding photo is better than a greasy ass. Thank you for being an inspiration.” Exactly.
At an event for The March of Dimes, E! asked Alyssa about the photo. She had some nice things to say about breastfeeding.
While the actress wasn’t necessary “surprised” by the response, she knew she wanted to make a statement.
“I just think it’s important for women to feel comfortable feeding their babies wherever,” she told E! News at the March of Dimes’ Celebration of Babies event. “If we’re in public, we shouldn’t have to go in the bathroom.”
She added, “I don’t want to eat in a public bathroom. Why should I feed my baby in a public bathroom?”
Milano, who recently decided to leave her hit TV show Mistresses to focus on her family, also can’t seem to understand why photos like hers get so much scrutiny.
“I think it has a lot to do with the sexualization of women’s bodies,” she shared. “I think it’s almost more shocking if you show a picture of the body doing what it’s supposed to be doing than a sexy picture of yourself in a bathing suit or something like that. It’s just a weird double standard I think.”

I think I’ve shared this story here once before, so forgive me if you’ve already heard it. When my son was a few months old, I was still very self conscious about feeding him in public so I went to the bathroom at an Olive Garden restaurant. (My friends were having a big get together there.) A woman actually gave me the stink eye for nursing him – in the bathroom! A few months later we moved to Germany and all of a sudden no one cared that I was breastfeeding him wherever. I found that to be such a relief.
Alyssa has previously spoken about the double standard with people criticizing her breastfeeding photo. She said on The Talk last month that “I got really sad about [the reactions to] it. Because…who are we, that now we get upset as human beings if we see a woman feeding her baby? It’s crazy to me.” She also tweeted a reference to Kim Kardashian’s Paper Mag cover, which came out before she instagrammed the nursing pic. “I don’t get it. No disrespect to Kim [Kardashian] but… people are offended by my breastfeeding selfies & are fine with her (amazing) booty cover?” There are of course the people who will complain about everything, that’s just the Internet, but I definitely agree with her point. At least Facebook changed their policy on nursing photos after a lot of pressure from women’s rights groups.

Also, I want to talk a little about Alyssa leaving Mistresses. I forgot that she was off the show! I probably won’t watch it without her, Savi was my favorite character and some of the sub plots were really dumb. Joss and Harry?! No.

Here are photos of Alyssa Milano looking like a boss at the taping of Extra. Last week, we discussed Alyssa’s righteous call out of Jay Mohr, who made rude remarks about Alyssa’s figure after they both appeared at a Nascar event. Alyssa always looks spectacular, but Jay decided to be a major a-hole by podcasting, “It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s—? … I read it on her gut.”
Alyssa kept it classy. She responded with a “So sorry you felt the need to need to publicly fat-shame me” and ended with a “send my love to your beautiful wife.” Some of you thought Alyssa may have been throwing shade at Jay’s wife, model Nikki Cox, who has had some obvious work done. I didn’t see Alyssa doing that at all. I think she’s a genuinely nice person and would never imply anything about another woman’s looks. Plus Alyssa is gracious without effort.
Well Jay felt the fury of the internet upon him. He took to his blog to explain the incident away as a failed joke. He said he was improvising content for his podcast and thought people would find “the incongruousness of my statements” to be funny. Jay continued, “I know full well how much words can hurt people, having seen my wife get destroyed by the tabloids, and I am embarrassed that I didn’t think before I spoke. Alyssa is an extraordinarily beautiful person–both inside and out. Sometimes comedians go too far.” Yes Jay went too far with this dumb little “joke.” For the record, Alyssa did accept the apology:

As I’ve mentioned before, Alyssa Milano was a total girl crush for me during my tween years (and a lot longer than that). I totally wanted to be Alyssa on the pages of Bop! magazine, and I was so jealous that she was BFF with Corey Haim. He used to be so dreamy. Shush. You know it’s true, girl.
Alyssa’s not the most diverse actress, but she has managed to carve out a lifelong career in television. Not too shabby for a former child star, right? She also does occasional public appearances including the Nascar awards ceremony photographed here in early December. Comedian Jay Mohr (who has very little going on these days in the way of a career) hosted the ceremony, and now he’s bashing Alyssa for her … post-baby weight. I don’t get it. Alyssa gave birth to son Milo about two years ago, and she looks amazing now. She always looks good no matter what, but Jay Mohr doesn’t think so. He’s even calling her out in public! What a douche:
Alyssa Milano is a class act when it comes to being the target of a cheap joke.
The gorgeous actress, who at 41 looks better than most women half her age, found herself on the receiving end of a low blow by comic Jay Mohr after the two attended NASCAR?s Sprint Cup Series awards ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas on Dec. 6. Mohr had hosted the event, and Milano presented race car driver Jimmie Johnson with his championship award.
Afterward, where Milano was spotted looking stunning in a rose-red, one-shoulder silk dress, Mohr did a radio interview where he called her “Melissa Milano,” then made fun of her “gut” and some problems she had while on the air.
“She was one of the presenters. … She’s very tiny. In height,” he said. “It seems like she had a baby and said, ?I don?t really give a s—’ … I read it on her gut.”
Mohr, who has two kids of his own, one with current wife Nikki Cox, went on to say “Melissa what’s-her-name” was very nice but didn?t look so great.
“Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ,’” the admitted comedy plagiarist said.
Mohr wrote in his 2004 book Gasping for Airtime that he lifted a joke from New York comic Rick Shapiro and turned it into a Saturday Night Live sketch. NBC later settled with Shapiro.
Who’s the Boss star Milano, meanwhile, responded to Mohr’s mohr-onic talk with a tweet, writing: “@jaymohr So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife.”
The actress’ Charmed co-star Rose McGowan jumped in, retweeting Milano’s tweet last Thursday and adding, “What?! Do I need to kick someone’s ass?”

Geez. Jay Mohr is a complete a-hole! I know he’s supposed to be a “comedian,” but that remark wasn’t funny at all. He was simply being mean, and there’s no excuse for saying something this tasteless about a woman’s figure. Alyssa handled herself with pure class in response, and I love that Rose McGowan jumped to her defense. If I were Jay’s wife, Nikki Cox, he’d be sleeping on the couch forever.

The 40-year-old actress showed off her beach bod in a bright blue swimsuit while going for a walk with her husband of four years. It’s unclear if the couple’s son Milo, 2, joined his parents for the beach vacation. Milano recently told that her little boy loves to go everywhere with her.
