Heading out for the first time since the announcement that she had entered treatment, Selena Gomez went for a workout at Miss Melodie Studios with a pal in Tarzana, CA today (February 7).
Showing off her toned abs, the "Come & Get It" singer sported a red and black flannel shirt over a grey mini tank, completing her look with a pair of black athletic pants.

These are photos of Selena Gomez at Sundance right after she finished two weeks of rehab. She looks happy, fresh, and (most important of all) free of the swaggy one. Back in December, Selena cancelled her tour for “exhaustion.” The joke at the time was that she was merely traumatized for being Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend. I think we’d all be shell shocked if our ex-boyfriend was stumbling out of brothels and peeing in restaurant buckets. The assumption was also that Selena merely needed some downtime. And some time away from the Biebs. Then she got back together with him (however briefly) in early January. They rode segways together.
Yesterday we talked about how Selena’s “exhaustion” was really a code word for rehab. She popped off for two weeks at The Meadows in Arizona. Her team refused say she was treated for substance abuse, but the story claimed she was having issues with Xanax, Ambien, and marijuana. TMZ now says the segway incident was the breaking point for her camp. As soon as they saw her back with “that crazy boy,” they encouraged her to get help. Thank goodness she listened. Sadly, TMZ now reports that Selena quit rehab four weeks before her program was scheduled to end:
Selena Gomez ignored the advice of medical professionals and waltzed out of rehab just 14 days into a 6-week program … over the strenuous objections of the rehab staff … TMZ has learned.
Sources close to Selena tell us just after New Year’s she checked into a program at The Meadows called DAWN — for alcohol, pot and Rx Ambien — in addition to what her people believe is an unhealthy union with Justin Bieber.
But 2 weeks in, Selena bailed so she could go the Sundance Film Festival for her upcoming movie. She told her people she would return to the rehab facility after Sundance, but when it was over Selena decided she was cured and there was no reason to return.
Problem is … that’s not the way the medical staff at The Meadows sees it … the treatment program is 45-days and Selena bailed four weeks early. We’re told the staff feels it’s essential in any recovery to complete the therapy.
Selena is telling her people … she completed the toughest week, which the facility calls “Survivor’s week” so everything is fine. Thing is … Selena’s not the doctor — she’s the one with the problem.

Hmm. I’ve never been to rehab, but I doubt a “survivor’s week” is enough to deal with multiple issues like the ones Selena is dealing with. I wish she would have stuck it out for the whole program, which probably would have happened if she never left for Sundance. Her people should have cancelled all obligations for the full 45 day program, right? Once you’re out, it’s hard to go back into treatment. She probably did think she was fine at Sundance, but I hope she decides to go back.

Selena Gomez disappeared for a couple weeks in January to attend emergency rehab. A rep for Gomez said she “voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse.” Sources say she was there because of Justin Bieber, prescription drugs and weed. The stay apparently helped her realize that Bieber is a bad influence. She needed two weeks for someone to tell her this. She’s not very bright, it seems.
?It just got to a point where she needed to get out of Los Angeles, get away from ?the scene? and the pressures of Hollywood, to also get away from those who had, admittedly, become a bad influence on her.
?Selena needed to take the opportunity to work on herself. She realized she needed help. Selena came to understand just what a bad influence Justin had been on her life,? said one source. ?Their relationship left her broken-hearted.?
?I don?t know whether Justin pushed her to drug use, but amongst their close knit group of friends, smoking was common place,? said another insider. ?Justin and Selena would smoke marijuana together regularly.?
Indeed, in one binge session, Gomez and Bieber together with a bunch of pals ?hot-boxed? inside the ?Baby? hit-maker?s custom built van on a trip to a theme park, a source revealed. Hot-boxing is the practice of smoking marijuana in an enclosed space in order to maximize the narcotic effect.
Not the evil marijuana! I heard Philip Seymour Hoffman once smoked a joint. Look what happened to him!

These are photos of Selena Gomez yesterday in LA. At first, I was all, “What a great sweater!” But then I was like, “Ugh, she ate at Cici’s Pizza.” That place gave me the worst food 24-hour poisoning attack I’ve ever experienced. Never again will I eat at a Cici’s Pizza. Anyway. Kaiser says that sweater is actually something Taylor Swift wore right before the Grammys. Not too surprising.
I have to admit to also not being surprised by this latest Selena news even if I am disappointed. She was supposed to be the good girl — the one Disney starlet who wasn’t completely going off the rails. When Selena cancelled her tour for “exhaustion,” it seemed suspicious. Then she got back with Justin Bieber in early January as rumors of her Molly consumption swirled. Well I guess “exhaustion” was really a two-week rehab stint. Dang:
An “exhausted” and “broken hearted” Selena Gomez has been hiding a secret from her legions of adoring fans: RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that emotional issues sent her to an Arizona rehab facility in January for a hush-hush emergency two-week stay.
The “Come & Get It” singer was admitted to Dawn at The Meadows recovery facility in Wickenburg, Ariz., on Jan. 5. And while a rep for Gomez confirmed the treatment to Radar – “Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse,? a spokesperson revealed – a source close to Gomez has revealed that in the months before her stint in rehab, she had been “partying very hard.”
Indeed, Radar has learned that Gomez, 21, had been leading a life very different from the carefully created squeaky-clean public persona: one troubled by drug and alcohol use. “With fame came a partying lifestyle,” confirmed one insider.
The former Disney princess – who first made her debut appearing as Gianna in Barney & Friends and starred in Wizards of Waverly Place – had been experimenting with marijuana and prescription drugs, including Xanax and Ambien.
Ambien, prescribed as a sleep aid, has become a drug of choice for many in Hollywood because it is similar to drinking a large amount of alcohol where one feels completely relaxed and loses control of their body.
“Her friends and family became increasingly worried that there might be a serious problem with Selena,” said another source. “Particularly, her parents. The partying was, at times, wild. They wanted to help her – and they very much encouraged her to go to rehab. Others very close to her also urged her to seek professional help.”
“It’s important to remember that Selena had worked in Hollywood non-stop for six years,” another insider told Radar. “She was exhausted. Selena was smart enough to understand that she needed to take control of her life.
“It just got to a point where she needed to get out of Los Angeles, get away from ‘the scene’ and the pressures of Hollywood, to also get away from those who had, admittedly, become a bad influence on her.

The shocking news of Gomez’s rehabilitation, revealed today for the first time in a joint Radar and STAR magazine investigation, explains why she chose to make the decision to cut off her Australian tour, citing personal reasons.
Gomez had been slated to kick off a 13-concert tour leg on Feb. 1 in Perth, Australia, but issued a statement on Dec. 20 announcing she was canceling it.
At the time, the singer said in a statement, “My fans are so important to me to me and I would never want to disappoint them. But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be.”
So far, it seems to be working: As one source told Radar, “Selena is now happy and very healthy and already getting back to work.”

This is such bad news. I do find it fitting that Bieber is getting the blame in Radar’s piece because he’s usually so busy blaming everyone else. Of course it’s Selena’s fault that she got with Bieber in the first place where she was surrounded by the drug lifestyle. She probably would have fallen for it elsewhere though, and who knows? Selena might have been hiding bad behavior for years. She IS besties with Demi Lovato, who smoked pot with Joe Jonas. Ugh, Selena.

I was gearing up to write this Selena Gomez post last night with these photos in my mind. I thought, “Wow! She looks sexy but not sleazy here.” The pictures are from a Flaunt magazine event a few weeks ago that got lost in the holiday shuffle. Selena looks great. I was so swayed by these pictures that I was prepared to laugh off a big story in this week’s Enquirer about how Selena’s been taking Miley Cyrus’ street drug of choice, Molly.
Then I saw the really bad news. TMZ has photos of Selena and Justin Bieber riding segways together near his home in Calabasas. She took his swaggy ass back. What the hell, Selena? Now I might believe anything. Here’s that story from the Enquirer:
Squeaky-clean starlet Selena Gomez suffered a bizarre public meltdown, suddenly canced an international tour and crashed her SUV in single vehicle accident — leaving fans wondering what has happened to the former Disney darling.
Now, in a blockbuster Enquirer exclusive, a close source reveals that the 21-year-old singer/actress secretly used drugs!
Selena, who reportedly dumped her boyfriend Justin Bieber over his alleged drug use — has been seen taking the street drug “Molly.”
The bombshell was delivered by the source — concerned that Selena is spiraling out of control — who gives the Enquirer a first hand eyewitness account of the young entertainer using Molly at a party over the summer.
Selena also attended a recent 12-step meeting with her close friend Demi Lovato, who did a rehab stint in 2010, although Selena’s representative said she was there only to support Demi.
“I don’t know whether Justin Bieber pushed her to take Molly or whether she started using it through peer pressure,” said the source, who has passed a polygraph test, told the Enquirer in a world exclusive interview. Nonetheless, “Selena Gomez is wisely trying to help herself stay off Molly.
Molly is an illegal stimulant made from the main chemical in the so-called “sex drug” Ecstasy. But experts say Molly — which is often taken in powdered form — is more potent and can cause seizures, hypothermia, heart problems, comas and even death. It can also lead to more serious problems like cocaine and heroin addiction.
Despite the dangers of the drug, Selena used Molly at a private house party in the Hollywood Hills this past summer, according to source. “Justin was at the same party, but I didn’t see him using drugs that night,” the source told the Enquirer.
“I was more focused on Selena because, up to that point, I didn’t know she took drugs. But she clearly knew what she was doing. This certainly wasn’t her first time ‘rolling’ (the term Molly users refer to getting high).”
Although Selena’s representative denied that she ever used Molly, the source said: “She ingested less than agram of the drug in a bottle of water, which is one of the most common ways of doing it. She was also drinking. I saw champagne, whisky and Grey Goose (vodka) at the party.”
Selena had previously been spotted hanging around with self-confessed cocaine-abuser Donatella Versace at Fashion Week in Milan, Italy.

I don’t know whether this story is true, but it’s somewhat believable and does steadily chip away at Selena’s good-girl image. Frankly I am flabbergasted at seeing Selena with Justin again and might believe anything about her today. She thought she was out, and he pulled her back in. Bieber has some Godfather-grade pull. What a shame.
In other Selena news, there’s some talk of her tour cancellation. Selena’s team hasn’t confirmed this yet, but some outlets are saying she suffers from lupus and had a big flare up. So it makes sense that she’d cancel some concerts, but it never makes sense that Justin Bieber would be good for her downtime.
