Selena Gomez is in the midst of a career reinvention. She just signed with new management and is hopefully receiving some good advice. This plum-colored Diane Von Furstenberg dress is superb. If this look is any indication of Selena’s future fashion, she’s doing well. This is a simple silhouette that’s been livened up a bit with a ruched, asymmetrical bodice. The fabric hugs her figure without gripping too shamelessly. Selena looks mature but not like she’s trying too hard. Finally, Selena looks like a 21-year-old instead of a teenager playing dress up!
Selena didn’t jump in for the costume theme, but this is still a winning look for her. Her hair and makeup are subdued but elegant. The geometric earrings add just a dash of adventure.
Selena’s frenemy, Kendall Jenner, tottered into the venue in a too-tight Topshop dress. This look cements Kendall as a full-fledged member of the tacky Klan. I was hoping she’d escape the bad Kardashian styling, but this dress is a fug, wrinkly, satin-y mess. Poor Kendall couldn’t sit down all evening. Selena wins this battle.

Rashida Jones did really well by Rashida standards! I’ve long lamented Rashida’s lack of style, which frumpens up her beauty. This Tory Burch isn’t much compared to last night’s collection of dresses, but it works. What an improvement. This lilac and blue gown simmers with old school touches. The off-the-shoulder neckline and glam curls are a step in the right direction. More of this, Rashida.
Maggie Q wore a Zac Posen dress that seemed too severe for the occasion. She looks like an ornate pilgrim.

It?s one of the biggest events of the year for the fashion industry and earlier tonight (May 5) Selena Gomez strolled up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the 2014 Met Gala.
Clad in a gorgeous maroon getup, the ?Come and Get It? star was hard to miss with her beautiful smile and picture perfect poses as she mingled with fellow attendees.
With a guest list that includes the biggest names in fashion and entertainment, there?s no telling what to expect from the 2014 Met Gala.
Designer Zac Posen previously told E!, "I think people are going to look spectacular! I think we are going to see lots of major, major gowns and very strong iconic moments. You know, it's a very cut down list so I think everyone that's going is expected to shine."

As she exited her luxury ride, the ?Spring Breakers? babe tried to hide beneath a wide-brimmed hat as she scurried inside the establishment for some delicious eats and girl talk.
Meanwhile, it sounds like Selena?s friendship with the Jenner girls is definitely on the fritz as she recently discovered text messages and pictures from Kylie on Justin Bieber?s mobile phone.
An insider told press, ?Selena flipped out and there was a huge fight between the girls. She now wants nothing to do with Kylie or [her sister] Kendall. Selena was also furious at Justin. They're not together right now.?

I?m kind of worried about Selena Gomez. I always thought, years ago, that she was the most level-headed of all the transitioning child stars. Then Justin Bieber happened. And then Selena started hanging around the wrong crowds. And, oh yeah, she went to rehab, she dropped her parents as managers and there are rumors that she?s ?cleaning house? after Justin Bieber fooled around with one of the Jenner girls. I actually hope that the ?cleaning house? thing is true ? she hired Katy Perry?s manager and she and Justin seem to be over (again, for now). So what does she really need now? A new LOTR boyfriend?!?
Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom appeared cozy together as they attended Chelsea Handler?s show on Saturday night.
According to reports, the pair arrived in the same car for the show at the Forum, and later left together. While the two have not been previously linked, Bloom is currently going through a friendly divorce from supermodel wife Miranda Kerr, while Gomez is on a much less friendly break from Justin Bieber.
While Gomez and Bloom spent time together in LA, Bieber was in New York. The pop bad boy was spotted at the Il Bastardo Brunch at Bocca di Bacco in Chelsea. He wasn?t served any alcohol and instead chilled with his entourage of 10.

On paper, Selena and Orlando Bloom make no sense. She looks 14 years old and he?s 37 going on irrelevant. But it?s such a bizarre match-up, and I find myself sort of interested to see if it is true. You can say a lot about Orlando, but he never had any kind of spectacular crash-and-burn like so many in Selena?s circle. He might be a good influence on her, is what I?m saying. He?s never fall down drunk and he doesn?t seem to do drugs, nor is he entangled with police departments in three different cities. But what does Orlando see in Selena?
