So far, no one has the tea on exactly why Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce from Kevin Costner. They were married for nearly nineteen years and together for twenty-five years. They have three kids together, two teens and a tween. She?s asking for joint custody and reportedly, there?s a pretty strict prenup in place. The sudden nature of Baumgartner?s divorce filing has led to speculation that Costner was cheating and she just found out. Costner?s ?friend? just told Page Six that?s not the situation at all.
Kevin Costner was left stunned after his wife Christine Baumgartner filed to end their 18-year marriage this week, sources told Page Six. Although the ?Yellowstone? star?s first marriage ended in an $80 million divorce amid a swirl of allegations about his serial cheating, one longtime friend said defiantly: ?There was no issue of cheating at all.?
The couple were last seen together posing, apparently happily, for the cameras at the Oscars in March, and the friend added: ?Kevin was very surprised by Christine?s actions, he obviously doesn?t want the divorce and he would take her back. It?s disappointing, he loves her and he loves his children.?
The couple have sons Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 12. Costner, 68 ? who had romanced a stream of supermodels and Hollywood beauties from Elle Macpherson to Halle Berry ? had indeed spent months away from home filming ?Yellowstone? in Montana, potentially putting pressure on his relationship.
However, a rep for Costner also told Page Six that any allegations of cheating are ?absolutely not true.? Asked about Baumgartner?s reasons for divorce, the Costner friend added: ?I have no idea if Kevin even knows what the reasons are.?
And a production source on his hit ?Yellowstone? also expressed shock, saying: ?No-one knew about any issues. He was not ?sequestered? on the set and would often go home to visit his family.?
Costner is currently filming the second of his multi-movie Western series, ?Horizon, an American Saga,? in St. George, Utah, which he also writes and directs. And the friend told us: ?He?s shooting right now and it?s all very upsetting, you don?t expect your wife to file for divorce when you least expect it.?

You could tell by Costner?s rep?s statement that his side was putting everything on Christine, that she decided to file for divorce without even giving Costner a heads-up. This is interesting: ?he obviously doesn?t want the divorce and he would take her back.? Is he publicly asking for reconciliation through the media? Perhaps. Honestly, wilder things have happened, especially with celebrities a spouse will get mad and file for divorce in a rage, possibly to shock their partner. And it works, and they end up working stuff out.
TMZ also has a story about the divorce their sources (Costner?s team) say that Costner was utterly ?blindsided? by this. Then the sources note that one of the terms of the prenup is that Costner solely owns all of their real estate and that Christine must vacate all of their properties. Which? yiiiikes. Entertainment Tonight also reports that the behind-the-scenes dramas on the Yellowstone set havent been settled, so Costner is leaving the show after the fifth season.

Well, this is a surprise. Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are splitting up. Christine filed for divorce after almost nineteen years of marriage. They were together for six years before their 2004 wedding too, meaning? they?ve been together since the 1990s. It?s not just the fact that they?re divorcing though in an exclusive statement to People Magazine, Costner?s rep makes it sound like Kevin absolutely does not want this.
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are separating. Baumgarten, 49, has filed for divorce, PEOPLE has confirmed.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Costners representative said, It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christines, and their childrens privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time, the rep added.
The pair wed in September 2004 and have three children together, sons Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14, plus daughter Grace, 12. Costner, 68, also has four older children from previous relationships, daughters Annie and Lily and sons Joe and Liam.

Costner sort of remade his career with Yellowstone, a hit drama he stars in and executive produces, and he?s a key part of putting together all of the spinoffs and such. Like, the franchise is his baby, and it?s a very profitable and career-fulfilling baby at that. According to the Mail?s sources, Christine asked him to quit the series because the shooting schedule (in Montana) is so intensive, it was affecting their family. The Mail also points out that Costner was recently in Las Vegas and he (gasp) posed for photos with his arms around some fans at the Milano Restaurant and Bar.
So? I don?t know. The terse statement from Costner?s rep makes me think that he crossed some kind of line somewhere and Christine decided that was it. Was the line an ?affair? or was it about his professional ambitions? I don?t know.

Flying into the east coast the previous night, Kevin Costner was among the stars in attendance for the funeral of recently departed singer/actress Whitney Houston.
With the proceedings taking place at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (February 18), the "Dances with Wolves" actor took to the podium to offer up words in remembrance oh his former "Bodyguard" co-star.
Reminiscing about having asked Houston to join him as a castmate in "The Bodyguard," Costner said he ?was reminded that this would be her first acting role. You could also think about another singer, was the suggestion ? maybe somebody white. Nobody ever said it out loud, but it was a fair question. [I] then told everyone that I had taken notice that Whitney was black. The only problem was I thought she was perfect for what we were trying to do.?
?Whitney, if you could hear me now, I would tell you, you weren?t just good enough, you were great,? Kevin added during his closing remarks. ?You sang the whole damn song without a band. You made the picture what it was. A lot of leading men could?ve played my part ? but you, Whitney, I truely believe you were the only one who could?ve played Rachel Marron at that time. You weren?t just pretty, you were as beautiful as a woman could be. And people didn?t just like you Whitney, they loved you.?

Adding yet another little one to his sizable brood, Hollywood veteran Kevin Costner has become a dad for the seventh time after his wife gave birth to a daughter on Wednesday (June 2).
The "Dances with Wolves" star married German model Christine Baumgartner welcomed daughter Grace, who was born on Wednesday evening, weighing in at 7 lbs, 11 oz.
Keeping their public message short and sweet, a rep for the couple says, "Both mother and daughter are doing well."
Kevin and Christine are already parents to two sons; Cayden, three, and Hayes, who turned one in February. Meanwhile, 55-year-old Costner also has three children from his marriage to Cindy Silva and a son from his subsequent relationship with Bridget Rooney.

The 54-year-old actor and his 34-year-old wife named the 8-pound 15-ounce boy Hayes Logan Costner, a name Kevin derived from the “cowboy character” in an upcoming western movie.

TMZ reports that around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, Kevin Costner was driving to a meeting in Hollywood when he felt sick and light headed. Depriving everyone the joy of hearing news that he passed out behind the wheel and crashed into a parked police cruiser, Costner pulled over and called 911. While paramedics made their way over, Costner started vomiting.
He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical and held overnight for tests. Costner was discharged the next day when the tests came back normal.
No word on why Kevin Costner was vomiting. There were recent reports of a salmonella outbreak across the country which could be the case. Or if it’s anything like what happened to me last night, Kevin should make sure he gives the girl the “right” drink next time. Heh heh heh.
