She?s always been a big philanthropist, and earlier today (March 23) Hilary Duff was spotted bringing Blessings in a Backpack to some Chicago students.
The ?So Yesterday? songstress paid a visit to Edward Jenner Elementary Academy of the Arts where she brightened the day with words of encouragement and plenty of gifts for the kids.
Yesterday (March 22), it was more of the same for Ms. Duff, who was showing love to the students of Indianapolis Public School 61.
The 400 kids assembled in the school?s gymnasium where they were given backpacks full of food. Of the childhood hunger issue, Hilary shared, ?This is a huge problem, and I think until it?s fixed I will continue to lend my time and do whatever I can and use my, sorry, celebrity to get the word out there.?

Doing her part when it comes to helping those in need, Hilary Duff headed down south for a Blessings in a Backpack event in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday (March 21).
The "Lizzie McGuire" babe turned up at Bethune Elementary School to the delight of the students, as she was handed a bouquet of flowers before helping stuff backpacks with supplies and presenting the place of learning with a check.
Tweeting about the trip the previous day, Miss Duff wrote, "Heading to airport to visit blessing in a backpack school in Atlanta!the rain storm in la is nuts! My dogs were howling so much this morning."
On a side note, Hil was sporting her newly styled brunette hairdo - as she chopped her bangs over the past weekend. Of the change in looks, the 23-year-old wrote, "Wow! Yes! A success! Thank god you guys love it makes me feel so good! Here's one more pic just cause I liked it"

Treating herself to a shopping excursion, Hilary Duff was spotted out and about in Hollywood yesterday afternoon (March 17).
The ?So Yesterday? songstress stopped into a novelty shop to pick up a gift for a gal pal, sporting a floral top with a grey cardigan and black trousers.

Out and about for another day of promotional efforts, Hilary Duff was looking cheery in Paris, France on Friday (February 4).
Doing her best to boost interest in her new book, Elixir, the "Cheaper By the Dozen" darling hopped out of her chauffeured ride before heading into NRJ 12 TV studios for an interview.
Having arrived in the City of Lights a few days ago, Miss Duff tweeted to her many fans and followers the previous night, "What an amazing day in Paris! Lovely place with lovely people! Merci and goodnight. Xoxo"
As for her new literary work, fans can look forward to the release of Elixir in trade paperback form on May 3rd.

Stepping out for City of Lights promotions, Hilary Duff paid a visit to NRJ Radio studios in Paris on Thursday (February 3).
The "Lizzie McGuire" hottie happens to be in the French capital city while promoting her literary work titled Elixir.
Getting a kick out of the overseas shutterbugs, Miss Duff tweeted along the way, "French paps! Lol. They are actually very friendly here"
Meanwhile, it sounds as if the trip got off on the right foot, as Hilary wrote, "@nikosofficiel Doing your show was a perfect way to start my Paris trip! Much love to you and your gang!
