Drake posted this photo on his socials this week. Just further evidence that Kendrick Lamar really did a number on this dude. The pigtails, the bows, the poutface? it?s like he?s trying to fit in at the playground. Shudder. ?And I like to understand cause your house was never a home/ 37, but you showing up as a 7-year-old.? Which just reminded me of a popular theory going around Drake?s 38th birthday is October 24th, next week. There?s a theory that Kendrick will drop his new album on Drake?s birthday. It?s been an open question for months now, ever since Drake and Kendrick?s beef? are we getting a new Kendrick album and when? It would make sense for Kendrick to drop an album before he performs at the Super Bowl Halftime show in February.
As for Drake, he?s still trying to reclaim the narrative or pretend that Kendrick didn?t fundamentally alter Drake?s image and career. One good way for Drake to change the narrative would be a high-profile romance with someone other than a teenage girl. What about newly single Jennifer Lopez? From In Touch:
Drake has been waiting for a second chance with Jennifer Lopez, and now that shes about to be single again amid her divorce from Ben Affleck, a source exclusively tells In Touch that Drake and J. Lo have been in regular contact, exchanging flirty late-night calls and texts.
?As soon as she filed the papers, Drake reached out,? the insider continues. ?He was very sweet and told her what a fool Ben is for letting her get away, and then he quickly let her know he?s ready and willing to step in and satisfy her.?
The ?HYFR? rapper, 37, and ?Jenny From the Block? songstress, 55, were first romantically linked in 2016, after sharing cozy photos on Instagram and being spotted kissing in videos at a prom-themed party. Months later, the New York native admitted that they were ?hanging out? in February 2017, but did not delve further into the specifics of their relationship.
?They have their own history and a lot of chemistry, so it really did a lot to make her smile,? the source says. ?Getting that kind of attention when she was feeling so low was exactly what she needed. Now they?re texting every day and things are getting hot.?
The insider explains that Jennifer?s ?guards are up? as she is ?well aware? of Drake?s player ways. While J. Lo may ?not putting him in the relationship category,? the source adds that Drake ?definitely meets her needs for a hook-up. He?s very intelligent and romantic and she can count on him being discreet because he?s always kept her secrets in the past, the insider continues. It?s still in the sexting stage but she loves hearing from him and sharing sexy selfies, he?s very quick to compliment her and he lays it on thick.?
When Jennifer?s ready to take things to the next level with Canadian rapper, the source says Drake is prepared to ?drop everything and meet her wherever she wants,? adding, ?It?s just a matter of her being in the right head space.?

I absolutely hope this is false across the board. No, I hope that Drake is trying to woo her and she?s just ignoring him, because if there?s anyone more toxic than Ben Affleck, it?s Drake. I actually believe that Drake would try to use J.Lo to change the narrative. I just hope she?s not playing that game.

Over the weekend, we learned that Andrew Garfield and professional witch Dr. Kate Tomas broke up ?months ago.? Andrew is notoriously private about his personal life, so it?s no surprise that we learned about it through a now-deleted Instagram reply on one of Dr. Kate?s posts. While he may be protective of his love life, Andrew is currently promoting We Live in Time, a new romance flick he costars in with Florence Pugh. The two of them have done some fun, flirty YouTube videos together, including this one about how to pronounce Florence?s last name.
Andrew has also done some solo press, including a big story for Esquire, an appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg?s Chicken Shop Date, which comes out on October 18, and an interview with People. While talking with People, Andrew told a story about doing a screen test with Ryan Gosling almost 20 years ago. Toby Maguire, Natalie Portman, and Jamie Bell were also attached to the project at one point. The movie never got off the ground, and to this day, two of the world?s favorite actors have still never worked together. That brief acting interaction had a lasting impact on Andrew, who absolutely gushes about Ryan, even going as far as to compare him to James Dean and Marlon Brando.
Andrew Garfield was mesmerized by Ryan Goslings Kenergy nearly two decades ago. Long before he played Spider-Man and his two Oscar nominations, young theater actor Garfield, now 41, did a screen test for a planned adaptation of Michael Chabon?s novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay.
His scene partner: fellow up-and-coming actor Gosling, 43. ?It felt like what I imagine it would?ve felt like working with James Dean or Marlon Brando,? Garfield tells PEOPLE. ?Like an alive animal, spontaneous. That kind of style. You dont know how hes going to behave. Its inventive. Its truthful. Its messy. Its alive.?

Since then Garfield has made his dream come true. Though the movie with Gosling never went forward, the British-American star, 41, has built a versatile career, showcasing his range in tense dramas (The Social Network), blockbuster action movies (The Amazing Spider-Man) and even a musical (Tick, Tick . . . Boom!).
All these years later, Garfield still hopes to work with the Barbie Oscar nominee.
What kind of film would he like to make with Gosling? ?Anything really,? says Garfield. ?I would just love to dance with him. So to speak, I just think hes a remarkable actor and I would love to do anything with him.?
?But I dont know. I have too many favorites of his to mention,? he says. ?But you know, The Nice Guys is such a great film and I think what he brings to his comedic roles I find so inspiring. So I would love to maybe do something like that with him.?
He got the chance to work with another Hollywood heavyweight, Florence Pugh, on his new romance We Live in Time. Garfield plays Tobias, an affable everyman whose happily-ever-after with charming chef Almut Pugh) is upended by her cancer diagnosis.
The actor, whose mom Lynn died from cancer in 2019, says the script spoke to him. ?I read it and I was like, ?Oh, this is just what Im going through anyway, really,? in a different form. It wasnt exactly what I was going through. But thematically, is what I was exploring in my life and sitting with and wondering about,? he says..

I love Andrew?s fanboying over Ryan and agree that these two absolutely need to work together. How is it possible that they haven?t even been in some big ensemble movie together? Someone make this happen, stat! We know they?re both good at comedy and can both sing and dance (Andrew is so, so good in Tick Tick? Boom), so I?m not opposed to them doing something that shows off those skills. I just don?t want it to be cheesy and lame! Or, idk, bring Andrews Spidey back and make Ryan a bad guy in it. Im not super picky.
In the meantime, Andrew and Florence?s new movie, We Live in Time will have a full theatrical release on October 18. The plot sounds intense but the trailer has a lot of uplifting music, for whatever thats worth. I?ve seen Andrew?s interviews with Stephen Colbert and Anderson Cooper, where he?s talking about his mother?s passing. It?s clearly affected him a lot, as you can imagine. You can check out the trailer below. It definitely gives off romantic drama vibes. I?m interested in seeing it.

This past spring, Jerry Seinfeld gave a series of very strange interviews. He edged up to making some okay points about how the film and television industry has changed and how comedy has evolved. But then he bungled it by saying a lot of dumb sh-t so no one paid attention to what arguments he was actually trying to make. Like, he started out by complaining about the dearth of good-quality network comedies, then he blamed that dearth on ?the extreme left and P.C. crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people.? Well, months later, someone finally got to him. Seinfeld walked back all of that ?extreme left is destroying comedy? bullsh-t in a new podcast interview:
Jerry Seinfeld is walking back polarizing comments he made to The New Yorker in April while promoting his Netflix movie ?Unfrosted.? The comedian went viral for saying TV comedy had been killed by the extreme left and P.C. culture. Seinfeld noted at the time that ?people [are] worrying so much about offending other people? and comedy is suffering as a result.
Seinfeld is now taking those comments back. He appeared on the latest episode of his friend and fellow comedian Tom Papa?s ?Breaking Bread? podcast and said he ?regrets? blaming P.C. culture for destroying comedy.
?I said that the ?extreme left? has suppressed the art of comedy. I did say that. That?s not true,? Seinfeld said. ?It?s not true. If you?re a champion skier, you can put the gates anywhere you want on the mountain and you?re going to make the gate. That?s comedy. Whatever the culture is, we make the gate. You don?t make the gate, you?re out of the game. The game is where is the gate and how do I make the gate to get down the hill.?
?Does culture change and are there things that I used to say that [I can?t because] people are always moving [the gate]? Yes, but that?s the biggest and easiest target,? Seinfeld added. ?You can?t say certain words about groups. So what? The accuracy of your observation has to be 100 times finer than that just to be a comedian?So I don?t think, as I said, the ?extreme left? has done anything to inhibit the art of comedy.?
Seinfeld also refuted claims that he once said he would never perform at colleges because the students have become so P.C, saying: ?First of all, I never said it, but if you think I said it, it?s not true. I play colleges all the time. I have no problem with kids, performing for them. I was just at the University of Indiana. I do colleges all the time.?

I?ve watched a few dozen of Seinfeld?s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee episodes, and from that show, I know that Seinfeld still longs for what he considers ?the good old days? of stand-up comedy. It also feels like he really tries to pay attention to what?s currently happening in stand-up, which means he actually knows that there?s still fertile ground to cover in comedy, even with the cultural shifts in what?s funny and what?s harmful. Basically, I think Seinfeld completely miscommunicated his outlook earlier this year, and he sat there and really listened to the conversation in the months since then. Maybe he even talked to comedians who are still doing stand-up and writing for network comedies and he was like ?you know what, I was wrong.?

Liam Payne, one of the five former members of One Direction, has passed away at the young age of 31. Liam died after falling from the third story window of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He?d been in Argentina for at least two weeks, having made his last public appearance at former bandmate Niall Horan?s October 2 concert. His girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, reportedly left the country on October 14. Liam released a solo album LP1 in 2019 and most recently, the single ?Teardrops? in March 2024. He leaves behind his son with Cheryl Cole, Bear, who was born in 2017, as well as his parents and two older sisters. As of writing this, there isn?t a lot of information available because it?s still an ongoing investigation.
Liam Payne, a former member of boyband One Direction, has died after falling from the window of a hotel in Buenos Aires, according to police there. He was 31. Payne?s death occurred Wednesday at a hotel on Costa Rica Street in the Palermo neighborhood, according to a statement from police provided to CNN.
Buenos Aires police said that personnel from the 14B Police Station went to the hotel on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a 911 call about an aggressive man who was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The police?s statement did not identify that person as Payne. Payne was seen in Argentina attending his former bandmate Niall Horan?s concert on October 2, according to videos posted to social media from the show.
Payne was best known as a member of the famed British boyband One Direction. The band, which also included Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Horan, first formed in 2010 after each member appeared on the UK version of reality competition show ?The X Factor.?
CNN has reached out to representatives for Payne as well as his former One Direction bandmates for comment.
?I do love being on stage,? Payne said of performing and songwriting with the group in a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said he was most proud of co-writing their song, ?What a Feeling.?
?That was a big one that me and Louis sat and wrote together,? Payne recalled. ?It just kinda came together. It was inspired by a Fleetwood Mac sound. It?s just a nice driving jam ? imagine driving down the coast.?
One Direction announced they were taking a hiatus in 2015. Payne later released his debut solo album in 2019 titled ?LP1.? In May 2023, Payne announced that he was working on a new album that he was ?really excited? about, and shared that he was planning a tour.
The tour was set to kick off in South America in September 2023, but Payne had to postpone the scheduled dates after suffering a kidney infection. In March of this year, Payne released the song ?Teardrops.?
Payne had a son, born in 2017, who he shared with former Girls Aloud singing group member Cheryl Cole. In a video shared on YouTube in 2023, Payne talked about the love and affection he felt for his son, Bear.
?He?s awesome. He?s growing up far too quickly,? Payne shared at the time. ?He?s far more smart than I think I?ll ever be. He?s a wonder.?
