John Travolta and Kelly Preston have confirmed that they are expecting a a screaming human larva to be expelled from her uterus sometime in the late fall. Star Magazine says
“It?s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this,” the Travoltas wrote on their web site.
The Hollywood stars ? who suffered the devastating loss of their son, Jett, in 2009 ? are expecting a baby.
“Kelly is about three months pregnant,? an insider [says of] the 47-year-old actress, who?s also mom to 10-year-old Ella. “Both she and John are absolutely over the moon ? they knew in their hearts that the time was right for this to happen.?
I don’t know how a woman half a century old and a gay man go about making a baby, but you can bet your sweet bippy it wasn’t courtesy any penis-in-the-vagina action. I’m thinking more along the lines of lab coats and test tubes and organ music in an old stone castle on a dark and stormy night.

John Travolta, wife Kelly Preston, and their daughter Ella went to a special premiere of their new film ?Old Dogs? in their adopted hometown of Ocala, Florida on Friday. This is their first public appearance in Ocala since their son Jett passed away last January. By all accounts it was a very emotional premiere, and the Travoltas were nothing but gracious and appreciative. They thanked the community for all the support and love they?ve received over the last year, and Ella even got a street named after her.
In an emotional appearance in his adopted hometown, John Travolta and his family thanked their Florida neighbors for their support after the death of son Jett.
“It’s meant the world to us,” Travolta, 55, told the crowd Friday night at the Ocala, Fla., premiere of his film Old Dogs, according to the Ocala Star-Banner. “We know that we have a community. We know that we have friends. And we know that we are loved. We appreciate it. Jett appreciates it. We love you, Ocala.”
Joining the actor at the premiere were wife Kelly Preston and 9-year-old daughter Ella Bleu, who appears in the film along with her parents.
The Travoltas, who live just north of Ocala, also appeared at a private fundraising gala for local charities, including the Jett Travolta Foundation.

The other charities that benefited from the Travolta?s private gala at the premiere are the Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council, Project Hope, the Marion County Public Safety Assistance Trust and the Humane Society of Marion County. All of them were personally chosen by John. He also has a history of premiering his films in Ocala as a benefit for non-profits. According to Ocala.com, Travolta did the same thing in 2007 for ?Wild Hogs? and 2008 for ?Bolt.? And though they haven?t released any official numbers on how much money was raised, it was at least $37,500 just from the gala ticket sales.
It?s pretty amazing that John and Kelly were still able to hold a charity premiere in their hometown, given everything they?ve gone through this year. It certainly would have been understandable if they?d passed. Clearly they wanted to thank their community for the kindness and support they?ve been given, and it sounds like the whole event was a success.

The Travolta family came out for the premiere of their new Disney movie, Old Dogs, in LA last night. The film is a rag tag buddy comedy starring Travolta, Robin Williams, and Seth Green. John Travolta’s daughter, Ella Bleu, 9, makes her movie debut in the film, and mom Kelly Preston also appears. This marks the Travoltas first red carpet appearance since the tragic loss of their 16 year-old son, Jett, to a head injury he suffered during a seizure in January.
John said during a press conference for the film that his family is coping with Jett’s death with daily religious counseling sessions through their church, Scientology. Scientology was just convicted of fraud in France and has been under fire for their aggressive tactics with detractors and deceptive recruitment practices. It is thought that Travolta may be under pressure to publicly declare his support for the cult, but his remarks could also be genuine:
John Travolta stepped on his first red carpet since the death of son Jett to promote his new film, Old Dogs, in which his 9-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, makes her screen debut.
Travolta was joined at the Hollywood premiere Monday night by some of Tinseltown’s top names, including Robin Williams, Tom Hanks and Seth Green.
“John just makes you feel wonderful, there’s a thing about him that you see him and you start to go ‘Wow’, it’s a warmth,” Williams said of his Old Dogs co-star. “I’ve kind of joked that he’s a human panda, you see him and you go, ‘Ahhhh’ and he’s very sweet that way, there’s a kindness that I think radiates from him.”
Travolta broke his silence Monday, as the A-lister said family, friends, religion and therapy have been filling his days, in his first interview since the tragic death.
“We’ve been working very hard every day as a family to heal,” the Pulp Fiction star told USA Today. “We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping; You need your friends a lot in times like that.”
Jett died at the age of 16 on Jan. 2 from a seizure at the family’s vacation home on Grand Bahama island. The month-long trial of an ambulance driver and a former Bahamian senator accused of attempting to extort $25 million from actor was declared a last month.

Ella looks so sweet and it’s nice to see this family out together. You can tell that they’re close-knit. I’m kind of disappointed that Travolta is talking up Scientology, but he didn’t say much about it except that counseling was helping him. To each their own, I guess, and I can’t fault the guy for turning to his religion in a terrible time. When it comes to such a destructive and criminal organization you wish that celebrities would have the sense to break ties, though.
On a lighter note, what is going on with Kelly Preston’s poofy hair? She looks gorgeous and around 10 years younger than her age, 47, but her hair is messy looking and not that cute. At least her outfit isn’t that bad. The dress is kind of plain and sack-like, but she’s worn worse. Remember what she wore to the 2007 Oscars?

She’s always up to something, and last night (August 30) Miley Cyrus was spotted out to dinner at a Los Angeles-area steakhouse.
The Disney darling was joined by John Travolta’s wife Kelly Preston, who she will be working with on a new movie called “The Last Song” in the months ahead.
Earlier in the day Miss Cyrus treated herself to a personal pampering session at a local hair salon, giving her coif a little extra boost.
And Miley looked top-notch as usual, sporting a red plaid button-up top over a grey shirt with a white skirt and grey leather boots.

According to Star Magazine, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are considering adopting a young boy. They?ve been going through immense grief since their son Jett passed away from a seizure in January, and have been walking around ?shell shocked? according to a source. Friends have suggested they adopt a child, and apparently the couple liked the idea enough to start the process.
“They’ve already set adoption plans in motion!” But there won’t be any midnight feedings or diaper duty for the Travoltas. Instead, they’re hoping to bring home a son just a few years younger than their 9-year-old daughter, Ella. In fact, it was Ella’s encouragement that convinced John, 55, and Kelly, 46, to add to their family, adds another source. “Ella said it would make Jett happy to see Mom and Dad smiling again. They really believe another child will benefit the whole family, and it will be a beautiful tribute to Jett.”
The devoted Scientologist couple turned to their church to help with the adoption and will likely work with the same agency that Tom Cruise and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman used when they adopted their children, Isabella and Connor, in the 1990s. “The church has access to adoptable Scientology children,” the source explains. “Members encouraged John and Kelly, telling them that bringing another child into their home is the right thing to do.
…They’ve been completely devastated by Jett’s death and “walk around shell-shocked,” says the source who adds that the tragedy has taken a terrible toll on John and Kelly. “Their grief is beyond words. John feels like his heart has been ripped out. He shuts himself in a room for hours, while Kelly grieves alone.”

It?s a lovely idea to adopt a child. However it worries me that it may be a little too soon. It?s important to make sure they?re not hoping a new child can heal the pain from the loss of Jett. Certainly they?re not looking for a replacement, but perhaps on some level John and Kelly might be hoping a new addition to the family would give them something else to focus on, and be a cause for joy. And while that would be wonderful, that is an tremendous amount of responsibility to put on a child. It sounds like they still need some time to grieve. It hasn?t even been six months yet ? and I suspect they?re really still early on in the grief process. They say the loss of a child is something you never really get over, and I would guess they need to wait a while and learn how to live their lives without Jett before they think about adding a new family member.

It’s been three months since John Travolta and Kelly Preston lost their son Jett. Though the family has not made a public appearance since Jett’s death, caused by a massive seizure, those close to John, Kelly and their daughter Ella say they are coping well - thanks to their friends and their faith in the controversial religion of Scientology.
Just months after the sudden loss of their only son Jett, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are slowly letting the world back into their lives. Friends and family say the Travoltas are coping with the teen’s death as well as they can and leaning on their faith in Scientology to find peace.
“John is a strong man, but to lose a loved one, it’s the worst time in anyone’s life,” Olivia Newton-John, a longtime pal, told PEOPLE in its new cover story.
On Jan. 2, the Travoltas’ family vacation turned to tragedy when son Jett was found unconscious in bathtub at the family’s resort in the Bahamas. Jett eventually died of a seizure, despite several attempts to save him. Travolta tried to revive Jett using CPR after the teen was discovered unconscious. “He was doing mouth-to-mouth to resuscitate,” Travolta’s attorney Michael McDermott said.
Actress Leah Remini has watched the family tragedy unfold and says they are dealing with the tragedy very well. “How do you deal with the greatest tragedy in your life? I can tell you that they are handling it the best any parent could ever deal,” Remini said.
While they are still trying to stay out of the public eye, friends say the couple haven’t secluded themselves and are making time to see friends and stay strong for their daughter Ella Bleu.
“They aren’t secluding themselves or paralyzed,” a family friend said. “[Seeing them] was like old times. Nothing awkward and no topics to dance around. There were smiles.”
Despite controversy with their religion, friends say Scientology has helped the family find peace with their son’s death. “They’re relying on their faith to get them through this. Their faith is solid, and their family is solid,” said a friend.

I certainly can’t condone the principles behind Scientology - it sounds like organized lunacy to me - but I can understand their grief, and their need to cling to some kind of comfort in this nightmarish time. When we lost our baby in January, we really needed to understand why. It didn’t make any sense to us. Maybe people who have religion in their lives can find comfort in leaving the “why” question in the hands of God, Jehovah, Xenu or whatever. For us, that wouldn’t have worked. But one thing I’ve learned is that everyone gets through their grief differently. It’s also a blessing to have other children in your life when something like this happens - they bounce back very quickly and remind you that life goes on, even after something terrible happens.

Former Bahamian senator Pleasant Bridgewater had a helping hand from police escorts as she was led into her hearing in Nassau, Bahamas earlier today (January 28).
The one-time lawmaker became the second suspect to plead not guilty in extortion charges stemming from an alleged plot to bilk $25 million from John Travolta and Kelly Preston following their son Jett’s recent passing.

According to The Daily Mail, a local politician from Grand Bahama where Jett Travolta died and a person thought to be connected with the ambulance service, demanded “millions of dollars” from John and Kelly in exchange for a picture they took of their son dying. If they didn’t follow through, they’d “sell the photo to the highest bidder.”
Out of all the things you could do, that’s one of the worst. Who goes around taking pictures of dead celebrity kids? Hot dead chicks with big tits I can maybe understand, but this is ridiculous. They should have also threatened to go to Jett’s funeral and rabbit punch him in the nads if they didn’t pay up. If you’re going to be doing something that awful, you might as well go all the way.
Update: TMZ says people tried to extort $20 million from Travolta and that a picture of a dying Jett may not be their bargaining chip although it does have something to do with the circumstances around his death. Us adds that there is only one person involved.
