I?m trying to figure out why Salma Hayek looks weird/bad in these photos? I think it?s the combination of terrible makeup and flat hair. Salma has great hair, so I don?t know why she chose the same hairstyle that I use to wash my face at night. I also don?t get the red/pink eye makeup ? it makes everyone look sickly. Anyway, these are some photos of Salma on the red carpet for the LA premiere of The Prophet. Salma has been doing the press rounds and she has a lot of thoughts about Donald Trump and racism. Some highlights:
On Donald Trump?s comments about Mexicans: ?I’m aware that he would say anything to attract attention and create the publicity around him. If something generates publicity, I would never be surprised about anything he does.”
She won?t say his name: Hayek refuses to “say his name” because she doesn’t want to give the presidential hopeful any “extra publicity?I’d be surprised if he did something courageous and meaningful that nobody found out about. This was not courageous and meaningful.”
Racism in America, Sandra Bland?s death: “We have a big problem. I think that this is the big elephant in the room. Because there were many years where people were saying, ‘Oh, racism is over in America.’ And, ‘America is very inclusive.’ And I think in the last couple of years, more and more, we’re realizing that that is a lie and that this is a very big problem that we need to deal with.”

I think it?s a decent stand to take to refuse to say Trump?s name, although the argument I make when I?m covering him is that we need to shine a very bright light on just how crazy, stupid and horrible he is. I think both arguments are valid though ? if Salma doesn?t want to say his name, so be it. As for Salma?s remarks about racism? I think she?s right. I think the ?post-racial America? thing was always a pipe dream. My only real complaint is that I don?t believe America is the only country struggling with deep racial divides, although that?s the way the international press covers it.

Since Heath Ledger passed away, Michelle Williams has actually had a number of serious boyfriends. This wouldn?t bother me whatsoever, except that the press around Michelle usually makes it seem like she?s lived in a nunnery for six years. Post-Heath, Michelle seriously dated Spike Jonze, Cary Fukunaga, Jason Segel and Dustin Yellin. The thing with Dustin Yellin only ended about three or four months ago and according to Us Weekly, Michelle has a new boyfriend? a boyfriend who split up with his wife last year. Hm.
Turning a new page! Sources reveal in the new issue of Us Weekly that Michelle Williams and author Jonathan Safran Foer are dating.
?They knew each other through mutual friends,? one insider says of the Brooklyn-based pair. ?I?m not surprised that Michelle is attracted to him. She loves books. She reads almost every day!?
Indeed, the My Week With Marilyn star, 34, once told Nylon that her love of books was ?consuming, or isolating, I guess.? She even admitted she had ?walls in my apartment made of books.” Adds the insider: ?They?re two people in the same mind-set.”
Safran Foer, 38, who wrote Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, was previously married to fellow author Nicole Krauss, with whom he split in 2014. The former couple share two children. And Williams famously dated Jason Segel, Spike Jonze, and the late Heath Ledger.
The Brokeback Mountain costars welcomed daughter Matilda in 2005. Now 9, the youngster is Williams’ main priority. In March, the actress told Elle UK that she?s ?so good at raising a kid? when she?s not working. ?I don?t forget anything. I?ve got everything covered.?
According to a second source, everything for Williams is coming full circle. ?With Jonathan, Michelle looks finally at peace and genuinely happy.?

I had to look it up ? in June 2014, Foer and Krauss announced their split and said that they had actually been separated for a year. So? there?s nothing shady going on there, at least on Michelle?s end. She met a recently divorced dude (is he divorced though?) and they?re dating. It?s interesting, I guess, to note that Michelle?s taste in men is pretty hipster-y. She likes Cool Guys Who Live In Brooklyn, she likes Artists Who Understand Light, she enjoys A Man With An Ironic Beard. Most of all, she loves Men Who Write Words.

I truly don?t believe Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are still together. They?re still married, obviously, but I believe they?ve been separated for much of this year, if not longer. From what little I know of Olivier, he seems like he?s just as high-maintenance as Halle, and just the thought of those two volatile personalities together? well, I can?t say I?m at all surprised it fell apart. Allegedly. Because they haven?t announced anything yet. But in addition to Halle not even remembering her anniversary AND getting to work with hottie Jeffrey Dean Morgan, it seems that Halle has also been walking around LA without her wedding ring. And Radar says that Halle and Olivier are already living separately.

Now, just as it began to seem that Berry had found her happily ever after with French actor Olivier Martinez, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that her marriage is rapidly crumbling after she was spotted out in Los Angeles without her wedding ring.
?It seems Halle and Olivier have finally hit the end of the road,? a family friend told Radar. ?They?ve weathered a lot of ups and downs in their relationship ? but recently, Olivier has been completely MIA!?
The preliminary signs of trouble came back in October of 2014 when Radar reported that the couple had rarely been seen together since the birth of their son Maceo a year earlier. Berry, who was pregnant with Maceo when she married Martinez in 2013, also has a seven-year-old daughter Nahla with model Gabriel Aubrey ? a man that ignited Martinez?s now notorious temper during a brawl outside Berry?s home in 2012.
But far from being an isolated incident, Martinez?s angry streak became an ongoing issue in the couple?s relationship, and things finally came to a head when an irritated Martinez was caught on camera hitting an airport worker at LAX with Maceo?s carseat. After that, Berry reportedly gave him an ultimatum demanding that he seek counseling if he wanted to continue their marriage.
?Halle is telling pals she worries that Olivier?s runaway temper could put her kids at risk,? an insider revealed at the time.
Now, Berry and Martinez are living separately, with him staying in Malibu, and her staying in her Hollywood Hills home. They have not been seen together publicly since February. ?They?ve just been delaying the inevitable split,? the source confirmed.

I believe the writing was on this particular wall from the start. Don?t get me wrong, I think Olivier probably does have a violent temper, but Halle knew that when she married him – it’s not like this is some new development. So? that?s going to be the story when they do split. This is the preview. Halle will paint herself as the victim of yet another violent and/or racist man and woe is Halle. And I think this has the potential to be an even bigger mess than Halle?s very much on-going crap with Gabriel Aubry. Olivier made sure he married Halle, which means he will probably have a much easier time convincing lawyers and judges that his custodial rights to Maceo should be confirmed. And when that happens? Halle is going to lose it.

As we covered yesterday, Cara Delevingne gave a bad interview to Good Day Sacramento. And yes, I still maintain that Cara was the one giving a ?bad interview.? If this was a one-off and she had a history of exemplary, professional behavior, I might have cut her more slack. But Cara has a history (which I detailed in yesterday?s post). I?ll also admit that the Good Day Sacramento anchors were way too peppy and they were asking some dumb questions. And? They were doing their jobs ? Cara was not.
In the comments yesterday, some argued that Americans just don?t ?get? British humor. Yeah? that?s crap. But Cara tried that argument too:
