| Tom Brady & Gisele started couples therapy, discovered Gisele is the problem | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
It?s been a bad week for Tom Brady as far as pop culture goes. South Park lampooned him and Donald Trump came out and said that Brady ?endorsed? him (which is sort of true, but still). Meanwhile, there?s still a lot of gossip about Tom and Gisele?s marriage and whether they?re really weathering the storm. They?ve been stepping out for coupled-up photo-ops here and there in Boston, and ?sources? insist that they?re fine, despite some stumbles. E! News had a lengthy analysis of the situation several days ago ? their sources say that the whole reason Gisele jetted off to Paris to get some plastic surgery was so Brady could have some space. Sources also say Gisele was super-pissed about the Christine Ouzounian photo and:
“Gisele became jealous and enraged. She had a very serious conversation with Tom and, honestly, I didn’t know if things were going to work out between them. She went to Brazil for a week and that scared Tom a little bit. She also missed his birthday and the first few preseason games for the Patriots. She was definitely sending him a message that things had to change.”
[From E! News]
But the insider claims everything is fine now that Deflategate is over (is it though?) and Tom is back to making Gisele a priority. Which brings me to this amazing Star Magazine story:
In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady started attending couples therapy.
?Things got so bad after Deflategate that they could barely speak to each other. Tom got irritable under the stress and she started blaming him for all their unhappiness, much of which was there before the scandal. Counseling was her ultimatum.?
Though Tom was reportedly reluctant to seek professional help, the therapist has reportedly been siding with Brady on many of the pair?s problems.
?He?s been getting some much-needed vindication during this process,? continues the insider. ?The truth is, his career was on the line, and his wife was sneaking around Paris in a burqa getting plastic surgery. The therapist noted that both of them tend to put Gisele?s needs over his.?
One example: Gisele insisting that the family move away from Tom?s native California to Massachusetts, after spending $31 million on a massive LA dream home.
[From Star Magazine]
I love that the biggest problem in their marriage was that they both put Gisele first. I LOVE THAT. Bless this couple. I hope they never break up.

| Sarah Jessica Parker shows off her 'gringe' on Harper's Bazaar: cute or awful' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Alright, I?ll be nice about Sarah Jessica Parker. I appreciate the fact that she does change it up a bit, that she?s not stuck in the Carrie Bradshaw-esque styling that made her famous. I actually think SJP looks nice with brown hair and I?m glad she?s not clinging to a blonde look. That?s refreshing. But I really, really hate her styling in the new issue of Harper?s Bazaar. I hate the bangs/gringe (grown-out fringe). I hate this particular shade of brown. I hate that Bazaar Photoshopped the crap out of her face. And I really hate how cheap that purple silhouette cover looks. Anyway, you can read SJP?s Bazaar cover story here. Some highlights:
She loves Manhattan: “I love the city. I love everything it has to offer. I think that my children are so lucky to be raised here. I love the subway, I love hailing a cab, I love traffic and people and all of the possibilities. I believe in all of that still.”
Living in the West Village: “My husband and I are genuinely surprised that we feel more public now than we have ever felt. It’s social media. Of course, when you work in TV or film, there is a familiarity, so you reconcile that. But the show has been off the air a long time now? You’re not ever alone. You are not ever, ever, ever, ever alone.”
She?s polite: “Don’t let anyone say I am not polite. I am polite because most of the time people are polite to me.”
Responding to people on Instagram: “I will say, ‘I’m sorry, I’m really disappointed,’ or ‘Why do you follow me if you find me so objectionable?’ I have used that word a lot. I don’t want people to mistake my kindness for navet. I am no idiot, is what I am saying.”
Turning 50: “I think my directness came with getting older. Now I will say I won’t wear something. But if it’s for a character, I will still try on everything on the rack. I don’t ever think, ‘I’m going to push it, I’m going to be controversial, I’m going to be provocative.? But I am independent.”
Her Met Gala look this year: “I researched that for a really frickin’ ass long time. I studied Chinese opera, ballet, theater, design, costume design. I studied tassels, poms-poms, silk? I think people forget there is a theme; it is a costume ball?.My son was like, ‘Mom, you’re a meme.’ I didn’t know what a meme was!?
Whether there?s an archetypal New York Woman now: “There are so many! They come from all different walks of life. But no one has really told the story of women from Staten Island, aside from Working Girl, obviously. I want to know about women who work in the city and go home to Staten Island. That’s why I love the subway so much?I can see people, try to know them. I love travel too. I am always game to figure something out about somebody else.”
[From Harper?s Bazaar]
I do think that some people (myself included) confuse SJP?s politeness and positivity for twee-ness and a sort of forced naivet at times. What I truly think is that for people like me (bitter, jaded cynics), SJP can only be taken in small doses. She?s fine in this interview, but if I had to spend a day with her, I would go absolutely mad.
Meanwhile, SJP chatted with the Today Show this week about the possibility of a third Sex & the City movie. She said, in part, ?It remains a not-often-had conversation. I know ? and [writer-director] Michael Patrick [King] knows well ? the story we might tell, if we ever tell it. But the real truth, and I?m not being cagey, is we?ve not discussed a when.? It basically sounds like she would be up for it and Michael Patrick King knows what the story would be, but beyond that? no one is really interested. I certainly hope they don?t make another one.

| Kristen Stewart describes Woody Allen as gentle, sarcastic & 'quite dom-like' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Last month, we looked at some photos of Kristen Stewart in costume, filming the new Woody Allen movie. The movie seems to be a period setting, probably immediately post WWII? And Kristen?s costumes are what I would call ?bobbysoxer Lolita.? Like, she?s supposed to look very young, like a teenager, but also kind of showy and trying to be mature, I guess. The whole thing is just yet another example of Woody Allen?s problematic relationships with women, in real life and on the page. But what does Woody?s latest muse think of all of this? Kristen really likes him because he?s gentle AND ?dom-like.? Wait, what?
Kristen Stewart took a break from filming Woody Allen’s latest movie to promote Drake Doremus’ Equals at the Venice and Toronto film festivals. As usual, very little is known about the Allen film, but Stewart tells THR that the role is a stretch for her.
“I’ve never played anyone like this. She’s quite buoyant and exemplifies lightness. People usually cast me to be the silent, quiet type,” says the actress, who stars alongside Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg and Blake Lively. As for working with Allen, Stewart says he’s “exactly what you expect him to be. Woody’s an interesting guy. He’s gentle, which I didn’t necessarily expect because he’s quite dom-like and can be sarcastic, but he’s so cut-and-dried, too. He minces no words.”
As for specifics about the movie, Stewart admits that she’s “not allowed to talk about it.”
Fortunately, she did elaborate on whether she feels typecast in Hollywood.
“No, because I started when I was really young, as a kid, and then I still feel like I’m a kid. But more so when I was younger I was attracted to things that felt immediately close to me. That was what moved me. ‘I know I can do that ? that is me.’ I feel like even with this new character that I’m playing [in Allen's movie], I wouldn’t want to play her unless I think somewhere in there (points to herself), she’s there,” said the actress, who made a quick pit stop in Toronto for the showing of Equals. (She also found time to pop into Hooters.) “I’m not a character actor at all. If I were to play a murderous villain, I would justify why they murdered people. I would be like, ‘Well you know what? They had a terrible upbringing.’ I would have to understand them. I can never disagree with people that I play, which some time could be a problem; it could limit me, but I don’t think so. I think it just might make me better at what I choose.”
[From The Hollywood Reporter]
Some of you have accused Kristen of falling deep into a Palin-esque word salad hole, and you guys might have a point. Who in the right mind uses ?dom-like? to describe Woody Allen? As in, he?s a dom/dominant? That?s a sexual term and I would really prefer if Woody?s latest muse didn?t use that kind of terminology to describe him. *shudder*
As for her word salad about how she?s ?not a character actor at all? because she has to understand and relate to the characters she plays? I don?t think those words mean what she thinks they mean. A character actor is someone playing wildly different characters, usually in supporting roles. And being a character actor versus being a leading actor has nothing to do with motivations and how you understand your character. She?s describing, in her own peculiar way, Stanislavski?s Method Acting, which is all about getting to the emotional truth of a character, and that?s the method many actors (both character and lead) use. Instead of taking varied roles and exploring those depths, Kristen is basically saying that she only plays characters she relates to already, meaning she?s just playing herself over and over all while throwing shade at career character actors doing compelling, varied and emotionally honest work consistently.
Kristen also said words to Vanity Fair:

On Thursday (September 17) the ?Jennifer?s Body? babe posted a sexy selfie via Instagram along with the caption, ?Hi. I'm still here, I just continue to have an angsty relationship with social media. But what better way to express my apprehension than with a selfie. This time in black n white!? Meanwhile, the FOX Network announced she?ll join ?New Girl? as a recurring guest star.
Executive producer Liz Meriwether told press, ?It?s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it. I?ve been a fan of her comedic skills since This Is 40, and I?m so excited to have her on the show. | Jessica Simpson was really drunk last night on the Home Shopping Network | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Jessica Simpson has been a boozy mess for a while. I mean, I doubt she was drinking during her back-to-back pregnancies, but other than that, Jessica has always loved to get boozy. Chica loves wine. She loves Scotch. She loves whiskey. She probably loves vodka too. So, there?s her history of loving the booze ? set that aside for a moment. There?s also Jessica?s whole persona of the ditzy, mush-mouthed blonde. Even if she?s not drunk, she usually sounds drunk, like she?s struggling to really form words. Personally, I?ve always found that part of Jessica?s charm ? even if she?s not a mess at one particular moment, she often SOUNDS and acts like a mess because she?s so ditzy and she has such a sloppy mouth.
So, Jessica appeared on the Home Shopping Network last night to shill some stuff from her Jessica Simpson Collection. The problem, perhaps, was that Jessica was asked to appear at night, prime drinking hours. I don?t know if she was tired (she wasn?t tired) or perhaps punch-drunk in the weird vacuum of HSN (she wasn?t), but she came across as? well, pretty drunk. She was slurring words, those are some drunk hands, and she was just a mess as she tried to describe the color grey as ?sexy.?
I mean? I?m actually laughing. Is it unprofessional? Sure. But those poor HSN people have seen a lot worse. They?ve dealt with people like Mariah Carey before, you know? Jessica Simpson drunk on live HSN = not that bad, actually. She was maintaining even though she was pretty bombed. So? is this fine? It?s HSN, not PBS, you know? Jessica getting sh-tfaced on the Home Shopping Network was probably the highlight of their week.

| Kendall Jenner earned $4 million last year & landed on Forbes' top model list | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Kendall Jenner’s been pretty quiet lately, at least for a member of the Kardashian Klan. Outlets recently figured out that she has a nip piercing due to a tight dress. She’s also been doing the catwalk thing at New York Fashion Week. Kendall’s very in demand at many of the international fashion weeks too, and now her success is translating into major dollars. She made her debut on the annual Forbes list of highest-paid models, which is interesting because people think she doesn’t have modelling cred. She never had to work too hard to get recognized, although I don’t doubt that she works some long hours in the job itself. Anyway, Kendall made the list with $4 million annual earnings, right behind Kate Moss. Forbes says her seemingly overnight success is down to the power of social media:
“We’re getting to a point where image visibility is more potent – it’s not just the money you earn,” explains Ivan Bart, President at IMG Models. With 19 million Instagram followers and 3.7 million Twitter followers, [Cara] Delevingne is one of the most prominent models on social media, bested only by newcomer Kendall Jenner, who joins the ranking at No. 16 with an estimated $4 million in earnings?and 36.4 million Instagram followers.
“Kendall’s generation is more influenced by digital media than television, magazines or any other forms of advertising,” agrees Chris Gay, general manager of The Society Management, which represents Jenner. Indeed, Jenner’s following – 58 million fans across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook combined – ensures any campaigns she appears in reach millions more, making her a smart bet for the likes of Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld eyewear.
It also helps to be part of Taylor Swift’s much-publicized girl gang, which includes Jenner, Delevingne and Karlie Kloss (tied at No. 8; $5 million). Though Kloss is no longer a Victoria?s Secret Angel, having turned in her wings earlier this year, the 23-year-old is flush from deals with L’Oreal, Joe Fresh and Kate Spade.
[From Forbes]
It helps to be part of the Swift squad? I believe that’s the truth. Karlie Kloss and Kendall can both maintain high profiles just by hanging with Swift and appearing on her Instagram page. Swift receives validation by increasing her number of collectible friends, and they get something out of the deal too. Sure, maybe the friendships are real too, but not many people can maintain such a huge number of best friends.
Kendall is enjoying high success, and maybe she’ll be the only sister to ever break free of Kris Jenner’s clutches. $4 million must put Kendall in second place (behind Kim) as far as earning power goes, but Kylie is still winning the app war. Oh, and don’t download those apps. Apparently, people’s data is being compromised by those silly Kardashian apps.

| Chrissy Teigen: John Legend & I have struggled with fertility for five years | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
This is a clip from Chrissy Teigen and Tyra Banks’ new show, The #FABLife, which premieres September 21. This show is geared towards women and, and it looks like the show is starting out on a heavy topic. Chrissy reveals that she and John Legend have been trying to have kids for many years. Probably five years, and they’ve been together for nearly a decade. Chrissy and John married two years ago in Lake Como. She says the “when are you going to have kids?” questions started almost immediately after they tied the knot. Chrissy advises everyone to never ask these questions (although that won’t stop your mother-in-law from pestering you at Thanksgiving). She and John have even visited fertility doctors to no avail:
“John and I have been together for so long now. I met him when I was 20, and I’m almost 30 now. Our relationship, before we even got engaged, was pretty significant too. But I will say that, just two years into being married, the questions come from all over. It’s kind of crazy. I can’t imagine being that nosy, like, ‘When are the kids coming?’ because who knows what somebody?s going through, who knows if somebody?s struggling? I would say, honestly, [that] John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it?s been a process.”
[From The #FABLife on YouTube]
Chrissy has a reputation for oversharing on social media, but this is the first time she’s ever mentioned fertility problems. This seems like a sincere effort at revealing information for the sake of this show’s discussion. Perhaps it might even soften Chrissy in the eyes of her critics. Things grew even more dramatic when Tyra returns from commercial break with her own fertility saga:
“When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, in three years, you?re going to have kids. Then I turned 24. And then just every single year I kept saying that. And after a while, it?s like, ‘Okay, I want to, but it’s not so easy.’ Once you open up about those things with other people, you start learning that a lot of people are seeing these people [fertility doctors], and they have this shame about it. So anytime anybody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I’m just like, ‘One day, you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling and it’s going to be really hurtful to them, and I hate that. Stop asking me!’”
[From The #FABLife on YouTube]
Man, this is some really intense stuff. Tyra openly cried on television, and I don’t think she meant to one-up Chrissy on her personal revelation. That’s kind of what happened though. Both ladies do make a solid point. People need to stop pestering couples to have children. Why on earth do people do this? Such questions feel passive aggressive, and they usually only result in resentment. It’s just unnecessary, and whether or not someone is going to have kids is such a nosy thing to ask about.

| Duchess Kate's 'aura reminds me of Princess Diana very much' says one mom | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
I saw some comments about Duchess Kate?s royal work yesterday, something about how she showed up late to the Anna Freud Centre? I haven?t seen any report corroborating that though. If she showed up later than expected, it probably wasn?t by that much time? Like, some people said she was an hour late, but I suspect that would have made it into the British media reports.
Which isn?t to say Kate?s royal work was completely without fault. Almost immediately, people noted Kate?s inability to avoid exposing various body parts, this time with a seemingly altered Ralph Lauren shirtdress that seemed to have some buttons removed so Kate could flash some thigh? for the children. The hair was also a mess, because it was flying everywhere and there always seems to be so much of it (I?m providing a photo of the back of her head for those of you on Wiglet Watch). All in all, I?m guessing that #PoorJason the press secretary was putting out PR fires for hours. Which might explain this People Magazine story, in which someone says that Kate is basically the second coming of Princess Diana because she awkwardly shook hands with a few kids before escaping after an hour for some much needed retail therapy.
Kate Middleton high-fived youngsters, wore 3-D goggles, played a motion game in heels and called to mind another princess who had a special way with children during a visit on Thursday to a school for kids with mental health issues. Diving into FitLights, part of a Smart Gym “brain-training system” with 12-year-old Kai, who copes with ADHD and an emotional disorder, she tested her reactions and impressed his watching mother, Chantel. (The center preferred that last names remain private.)
“She’s a fantastic woman,” Chantel tells PEOPLE of meeting Kate, 33. “Her aura reminds me of Princess Diana very much, which to me is a very warm feeling.”
After the game, Kate jokingly told Kai, “I’ve pulled down your average! Well done. It was very well explained. Thank you very much for looking after me.”
Chantel was also impressed with Kate’s well-proven agility in heels. “Considering she’s in high heels, she did extremely well,” she says. “She’s a very active, fit young mother and hands up to her. She’s very warming. It’s just in her nature. Its not someone who’s high up there, as the children said, she’s very welcoming.”
One of those, Capone, 12, who worked on the neuro-tracker with Kate, says, “She was really good. She wasn’t that competitive because I’m a little boy. But she was working with me, rather than try to beat me. She is a very nice woman, gentle with her words but down to earth. She spoke nice and calm.
Charity CEO Peter Fonagy told PEOPLE that Kate was “extremely knowledgeable” about children’s mental health. “She was a delight to speak to and spoke delightfully.”
[From People]
There are more quotes from other people in that article, but it was pretty sugary. In my mind, Poor Jason is handing out pre-written scripts for people to read out to the journalists. ?Oh, Princess Kate?s hair was so shiny, my favorite part of the visit was when she leaned over and her skirt blew up, I mean, she

| Emily Blunt on her citizen jokes: 'I really apologize to those that I caused offense' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
As we discussed a few days ago, Emily Blunt has been joking about her new American citizenship while she promotes her film, Sicario. She took her citizenship oath the same day as the first GOP Debate, and she?s made several jokes about how watching the debate made her think that becoming a citizen was ?a terrible mistake.? Which is fine with me, part of being an American is hating on our idiotic politicians. What bugged me was that she described her naturalization as ?sad? and ?not entirely thrilling.? That smacked of privilege to me, just because? there are seriously SO MANY undocumented immigrants who would love the opportunity to become legal citizens. They are fighting so hard and coming across so many roadblocks and all they want to do is call themselves Americans. If Emily really had such ambivalence about becoming a citizen, why bother? That was my problem with her statements, although Fox News jumped over everything she said and told her to take her crumpet back to jolly old England or whatever.
So, Emily heard all of the complaints and she attempted some damage control on the Today Show yesterday morning. First, she was asked about taking her citizenship oath and Blunt changed her tune in a hurry, saying: “It’s really meaningful. You know, I mean, my two favorite people in the world are American ? my husband and my daughter. It was kind of a special day. Yeah, it was great!” When asked specifically about her comments about the GOP Debate, Blunt flat-out apologized: ?It was so not the intention to hurt anybody or cause any offense, so I really apologize to those that I caused offense. It was just an offhand joke. I think I’ll probably leave the political jokes to late night or something.” Yeah? except she was telling variations of those jokes in several outlets over the course of two weeks. But whatever, she apologized. Embrace her again, ‘Merica!
