Lopez raked in $410,000 for her NYE performance at Caesars Palace, plus she gets back end. The point of the gig was to see if Lopez was a sufficient draw for a full-on residency.?

Remember about a month ago, when Angelina Jolie had a really terrible week? The Sony Hack blew up and everyone found out that Scott Rudin called her a minimally talented spoiled brat. Angelina got chicken pox, and Unbroken was majorly snubbed at the Golden Globes? Angelina weathered that storm because this too shall pass. And now it?s time to pass on that message to Jennifer Aniston, because she?s having a bad week. She lost the Golden Globe for Best Actress. Her Globes dress was boring. Her Cake premiere dress was awful. And today, she?s going to have the sinking realization that she spent easily more than a million dollars trying to score an Oscar nomination and she failed miserably.
And now this: remember how Jennifer Aniston mentioned her first great love in her NYT interview? The guy passed away in 2007, and some people were uncomfortable with the way Aniston spoke about a dead man who had completely moved on and married someone else in the years that followed their breakup. They had two children together, and his wife was with him until the bitter end. And now his widow wrote a Facebook post slamming Aniston. The guy?s name was Daniel McDonald and his widow is Mujah Maraini-Melehi. Here?s what she wrote:
In light of what?s been happening around the world, this may seem like a very trivial and superficial post. This past 24 hours have been very difficult for me?.. I am very upset that the media is exploiting Daniel?s memory in connection to Jennifer Aniston. What is precious shines in our hearts and should not be splayed for everyone?s consumption in the media this way.
Why now? I wonder. After decades of stardom, she is media savvy enough to know that any casual comment she makes becomes front page tabloid news. Jennifer Aniston is Jennifer Aniston, and that means that anything that she says about her love life to any journalist, even someone as reputable as New York Times? Frank Bruni, will be later dissected and exploited.
My heart aches to see our tragedy of losing Daniel to serve the media?s hunger for sensationalism. I remember how journalists often called our home to ask Daniel for information about Jennifer, and being the gentleman that he was, he would always decline to comment on anything at all. I imagine he would be appalled to be caught up in this media circus, especially after he had found Love and built a family of his own.
His love is part of our fabric — part of me , part of Fosco, part of Ondina. Please respect our love and especially our Loss. The children lost their father. I lost my partner. I am sorry that Jennifer did not realize the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died. It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when she was not present during his long and difficult illness.
That said perhaps Daniel?s gift was to teach her how to love and appreciate Justin Theroux. I know how much Daniel cared about her, and how protective he was of her. That was part of what I loved about him. I find it very hard to believe that she may not have married Brad Pitt had Daniel and I not married months before as some unnamed ?sources? declared to the Daily mail on line. After Daniel died, I reached out to her to give her back all the photographs from the time they were together. I never got an answer back from her.
Please ignore the gossip and remember what is essential; the music in Daniel?s heart lingers on in us, in his dear friends, his mother Pat, his siblings who miss him every day, his cousins, his nieces and nephews, his colleagues, his fans, his children, and me.

The Daily Mail has a few more details about Jennifer and Daniel?s relationship ? it was when Jennifer was in her early 20s and living in NYC, before she moved to LA to do Friends. Daniel stayed in NYC and Jennifer quickly moved on with Tate Donovan. After Tate, she dated other dudes and then she met and married Brad Pitt. After Brad, there was Vince Vaughn, that weird British model guy (he always seemed like a rent-a-date), John Mayer, John Mayer again, random non-celebrities, and then Justin Theroux. And out of all of those guys, Jennifer chose to talk about the dead guy who left a widow and two children? So? yeah. Aniston is having a terrible day. She?s going to have to smoke so much pot to relax today.

Before I get into the main part of this post, I wanted to mention the People puff piece about how Katy Perry and John Mayer are “in love” after getting back together for a fourth time. Kaiser, CB, and I all took bets on how long this time will last. I’m probably going to lose by saying John will propose this time (before breaking it off), but we’ll see.
Now for the more interesting part. The Super Bowl is only two weeks away, and Katy’s preparing her act. She refused the “pay to play” proposal by the NFL. The league’s stance is that the artists gain great exposure from 110 million viewers. I disagree. Any act who plays for the Super Bowl is well established and will bring plenty of their own audience to the table. The NFL’s greed shines through with the dumb “pay to play” scheme.
Anyway. Katy talked to the Chicago Tribune about that subject and also the Ray Rice situation. CBS saw fit to pull a Rihanna performance (because, hey, why let a DV survivor have a voice?) before they hired Katy. Of course Katy is talking up how her female empowerment tunes make her the best performer possible for this year’s game. Oh?
On the NFL’s handling of Ray Rice: “It wasn’t an image problem, it was a problem. We were all watching and asking ourselves questions about what this year would mean. But I think that the problem that the NFL is dealing with is a global problem … we need to work out — or educate people on.”
Katy can help: “I’m all about female empowerment and uplifting people’s spirits, and people finding their own voice with songs like ‘Roar’ and ‘Firework,’ so maybe there is no better person. Hopefully I can bring that incredible strength and empowerment to people through the performance.”
Katy won’t “pay for play”: “I put my foot down very early in the courtship. I said, ‘Look guys, here’s where I draw a line in the sand. I want to be invited on my own merits and not with some fine print. I stuck to my position … I don’t even care if my contract leaks. … I have nothing to hide, basically.”
She won’t have a “wardrobe malfunction”: “Everything I’ve done in my career hasn’t been blatant this or that. It’s always with a wink. It’s a soft-serve sexiness. My intention is that everyone talks about the music and nothing else. … Sometimes you can’t control other people. But I will control myself.”

I don’t know, man. Katy doesn’t even know the meaning of feminism, so it bugs when she talks about being the strongest candidate for empowering women. She did successfully woo millions of grade-school girls into singing about wanting to see a “Peac*ock.” I guess that’s enough female empowerment for Katy. She’s so clueless, and the whole “soft-serve sexiness” part is hilarious. Because … whipped cream rack.
One silver lining: Lenny Kravitz (!) will share the stage with Katy. If she does to “Let Love Rule” what Fergie did to “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the gloves are off. At least we’ll have something nice to look at.

In 2013, Brandi Glanville made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. She brought the drama, as always. She was asked specifically about some insidery rumors involving Real Housewife Yolanda Foster and her ex-husband Mohamed Hadid and who Hadid maybe slept with. Brandi claimed that Hadid had slept with Real Housewife Joanna Krupa and that, in Brandi?s words, ?Mohamed did tell me that her p-ssy smelled.? The whole thing became rather epic, with Joanna Krupa, Yolanda Foster and Mohamed Hadid all chiming in. Brandi even dragged Lisa Vanderpump into it because she claimed Lisa was there when Hadid said that.
Then, back in October of last year, Brandi made another appearance on WWHL and once again she got some Joanna Krupa questions. Brandi went even harder, making some ?bad sushi? jokes that didn?t really come across as mature. Well, long story short? Joanna Krupa is now suing Brandi for slander, libel, defamation and ?intentional infliction of emotional distress.?
Smells like Real Housewives trouble! In a letter exclusively obtained by ‘Life & Style,’ attorneys for ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ star Joanna Krupa inform Beverly Hills Housewife Brandi Glanville that she will be sued in a Florida court for ?slander, libel, defamation and/or intentional infliction of emotional distress.?
What exactly did Brandi do? On a 2013 episode of Bravo?s ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ she told Andy Cohen that Joanna slept with Yolanda Foster?s now ex-husband Mohamed Hadid ? and that Mohamed said her, um, ?p—- smelled.?
Joanna denies both claims, and says Brandi knew they were false. ?She doesn?t even know me!? the reality star tells the new issue of ‘Life & Style.’ Brandi?s comments ?have humiliated and harmed Joanna,? an insider adds.
?Joanna hired heavyweight lawyer Ray Rafool to sue,? the insider explains, ?because enough is enough.?

While I think Brandi was really WAY beyond rude with her comments about Krupa, I kind of think this is a terrible move for Krupa. I mean, if Krupa is just aiming for a quick settlement and an apology, okay, maybe she?ll get that. But if Brandi wants to fight this to the bitter end, you know what?s going to happen? Endless depositions and witnesses called in to speak about the stank (or lack thereof) of Joanna Krupa?s lady parts. Krupa?s vadge is going to be put on trial!

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift in LA yesterday, heading to the gym. Do you know what I look like walking into my gym? I?m a mess. I?m almost wearing black sweats, a black mega-sports bra, black t-shirt and my kicks. I?m carrying my gym ID, a water bottle and I have my iPod in my pocket. And you should see what I look like coming out of the gym ? same outfit, only I?m drenched in sweat, with my hair plastered to my face. Swifty never has those kinds of gym moments. She swans into the gym in heels and a babydoll dress, drinks a smoothie and gossips by the treadmills, spends a few minutes primping in the locker room and then she walks out of the gym.
As we dicussed following the Golden Globes, Taylor might have had a ?mini meltdown? at one of the Globes afterparties when she saw her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal ? go here to read the first version of the story. Soon after that version of events was published in Us Weekly, both Us Weekly and People Magazine published stories about how Swifty was NOT having a meltdown and she was actually speaking to Jake like they were still on friendly terms. Do you really believe that? Hm. Meanwhile, Star Magazine has another ?scandal? from the Globes parties: Swifty was possibly peer-pressuring Lorde to drink alcohol!!!
She?s only 18 years old, but that didn?t stop Lorde from sipping on rum and cokes after the Golden Globe Awards ? and it?s all because of her BFF, Taylor Swift! An eyewitness at HBO?s Golden Globes after party saw the 25-year-old pushing her underage bestie to drink, and when the gals headed over to the Weinstein Company?s party, the peer pressure continued.
?Taylor was drinking rum and coke and then switched to Meiomi wine,? the source tells Star. ?And she was feeding her rum and coke to Lorde!?
According to the insider, Taylor told the ?Yellow Flicker Beat? singer she didn?t have to drink if she didn?t want to, but gushed that, ?Rum is so good!? And once Lorde took a sip of the concoction, she ended up ordering one of her own!
The witness also notes that while Taylor was mixing her alcohol, she ate very little, even when a serve brought In n? Out burgers to the table! ?Everyone ate except Taylor,? the source claims. ?She only picked at hers and barely ate any of it.?

That?s the new storyline with the tabloids, to point out how little Swifty is eating these days. For what it?s worth, she has lost some weight. But I don?t believe she?s starving herself. I am willing to believe that she?s going through a partying phase though. I think she likes having a group of girlfriends and going out on the town and having some drinks. I doubt it?s some huge problem. As for Swifty telling Lorde to try her rum and coke? rum and coke is the gateway cocktail, I swear. It does taste good! Rum & Diet Coke is good too, but it has more of a bite. And it makes you want to drink other rum-based cocktails. MOJITOS! My guess is that Lorde had tasted alcohol before, and a few sips of rum & Coke for an 18-year-old at a Globes party is practically quaint.
And finally, here?s a nice Swifty story. Swifty sent a $1,989 check to a Swiftloonie to help with her student loan debt. Aw. That is really nice.

Let the Cake wash over you. Just lay back and accept it. Here are some photos of Jennifer Aniston and Chris Messina at last night?s LA premiere of CAKE. Jennifer wore a Giambattista Valli dress (it looks like a two-piece, but I guess it?s a dress), Louboutins and Jennifer Meyer jewelry. Jennifer?s been doing a lot of ponytails and updos for her Oscar campaign, hasn?t she? I don?t mind it. I get tired of the hair-in-the-face look, so high-fashion ponytails are a welcome reprieve. As for her Valli look? I?m not a fan. It?s way too cutesy. But it?s nice that Cake is finally getting a real premiere, I guess.
As you can imagine, Jennifer is probably a ball of nerves right now, as we speak. The Oscar nominations come out this morning ? the first round will start at 8:30, then all of the big awards will be announced at 8:38 am (EST). We?ll have the nominations up shortly after that, so no threadjacking, mmkay? Jennifer has spent a lot of money ? probably her own? ? to get an Oscar nomination and many believe it?s going to happen for her. But at last night?s premiere, she was playing coy. She told E! News that she wouldn?t watch the announcements. She said: ?I’ll be in bed. I’ll be in bed with my beloved and my dogs dreaming wild little dreams. I’m not going to torture myself. My phone rang yesterday at five o’clock in the morning and I was like, ?What’s happening? Who’s dead or b, is today Thursday?’” Do you believe her? After shelling out that much money to get a nomination, don?t you think she?ll be up, doing a wake & bake and watching?

Because I?m an idiot, I thought Jaime King was still, like, 26 years old. I remember when she was first on the scene as an actress/model, and I guess my mind was sort of stuck in that mindset. It wasn?t until today, just now, that I realized that she?s actually 35 years old. So, she?s 35 years old, she?s married and she has a one-year-old son, James. Jaime opened up to People Magazine in this week?s issue about the long ordeal she had to go through just to get pregnant. It really sounds like she had some major fertility issues.
She is a doting mom to one-year-old son James Knight. And while actress Jaime King is relishing her time as a parent nowadays, she is also reflecting on her painful past with infertility. In hopes of helping other women with similar difficulties of conceiving, the 35-year-old Hart Of Dixie star shared details about her ordeal in the latest issue of People magazine.
‘I felt so broken. Women are supposed to bear children and I couldn’t,’ she told the publication. The path to motherhood was a steep and winding road for Jaime, who welcomed her little one with husband Kyle Newman after several painful treatments of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
‘I’ve had five miscarriages, gone through five rounds of IVF and 26 rounds of IUI,’ she revealed. ‘I was in severe pain all the time, emotionally and physically.’ The former model added, ‘I always thought I would have three of four children. I felt so ashamed. Everyone who goes through it feels that way, no matter where they’re from.’
Not knowing what exactly was causing her so much discomfort, the star visited her obstetrician-gynecologist. She was diagnosed with endometriosis as well as polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition that affects female sex hormones and fertility.
‘I was so happy that someone was finally explaining to me what was happening. Nobody was talking about it. I was hiding what I was going through for so long and I hear about so many women going through. If I’m open about it hopefully it won’t be so taboo to talk abut it. What’s the point of having a voice if you don’t use it. So I felt a responsibility to be very authentic, honest and real.’
Jaime went through nearly five years of fertility treatments but eventually wound up getting pregnant naturally.
‘When I got pregnant it was the best thing in the whole world. I had never felt so grateful,’ she gushed. ‘I was elated but cautious. I felt awful, but it was nothing compared to what I went through with fertility.?
On motherhood: ‘I’m proud. It’s the greatest role I’ve ever had, and having these honest conversations is everything.’

Endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, five years of IVF and 26 rounds of IUI and after all that, she got pregnant naturally?!? That?s crazy. Although I?ve heard many stories like that ? after spending thousands of dollars on costly fertility treatments with no results, the couple goes off the treatments and gets pregnant soon after. As for her message, I think it?s good that she?s talking about it. I think most people avoid talking about these kinds of fertility issues because they are so painful and personal, but I think a lot of women feel ?shame? at having issues and really, there?s should be no shame. Some women cannot get pregnant at the drop of a hat. Some women need help. And some women just aren?t interested in general. There?s no shame in any of it.

On her rural upbringing, the ?I Will Always Love You? songstress explains, ?When I was a girl growing up in the 1950s in the Smoky Mountains, there were plenty of people who didn't know what to make of me. I had 11 brothers and sisters and no electricity in my home, yet I knew I was gonna be a star.?
?I had a big, outgoing personality and even then I dressed a little bit trashy?my grandfather, who was a Pentecostal preacher, told me I looked like Jezebel! Some people thought I was a freak, and I was sensitive. But I was always myself?they couldn't beat it out of me, they couldn't scare it out of me, they couldn't scold it out of me. I just couldn't help it! I didn't know how else to be. Still don't.?
Dolly also discusses her view of people- ?They say your first impression of someone is always right, but I've found that that's not true. You just don't know. It can be as simple as how a person dresses. You make a judgment about that person, but if you spend a little time, you find that they're different from what you thought, and you forget how they look. I know I look totally artificial, but I'd like to think I'm real where it really counts. It's how people treat one another and what they do and the way they do it?that's what should matter.?
Furthermore, ?When I meet someone, I look at their eyes and their smile and seek out the good first?it's easy to find when you're looking for it. You let a person shine with their own light and try to connect it to yours. As soon as I say hello, I go right to that light and I don't care who you are! I know we're all pieces of the same thing?I go for that common light because I know it's in all of us.?
Ms. Parton even has her own charity- ?A lot of the things I see in this world aren't right, and I set about trying to make as many things right as I can. My daddy was very smart and funny, but he couldn't read or write, so I started Imagination Library. We send children a free book each month from birth until kindergarten. Of all my accomplishments, my daddy was most proud of me for being the 'Book Lady,' which is what the kids call me."
