| Paris Hilton claims she was 'trapped' into 'playing a ditzy airhead' for years | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When we last checked in on Paris Hilton, she was proudly announcing that she voted for Donald Trump because, in her words, ?I?ve known him since I?m a little girl.? That right there was pretty much Peak America, by the way. In any case, we?ve known exactly what Paris Hilton is for many, many years: an absolute idiot. She?s dumb like a fox in that she was the pioneer famewhore who was famous for nothing, but Paris?s heyday has long since passed and dumb is forever. But to hear Paris tell it, she?s secretly been brilliant this whole time and she was merely playing dumb many years ago and that image just stuck. Yeah. That excuse is older than ?I just seem like a bitch because of the editing.?
Paris Hilton is a name that signifies glitz, money, blonde jokes and, now, a $2 billion empire. That?s right, Hilton reveals to Access Hollywood that she doesn?t want to be known as a ditz anymore. With 17 product lines and 70 overseas stores, she?s built a business empire and is ready for people to recognize it.
?I am a very hardworking businesswoman and entrepreneur, and that?s what I want to be known as now,? shares the hotel heiress. The 35-year-old credits the producers of her breakout reality show The Simple Life with her frivolous persona, explaining, ?They said ?Nicole you play the trouble maker, Paris you play the ditzy airhead.? We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into or what a huge success it would be and that I?d have to continue playing this character for five years. You kind of just get trapped in that character when you have to continue doing it on a TV show,? she says. Despite Hilton?s honest musings around the dumb blond persona, she admits she?s benefited because she ?was in on the joke.?
?I don?t mind because I feel like I really parlayed it into a huge business and it was a lot of fun,? she says. ?I think if I was my serious self on the show it wouldn?t have been such a huge success.?
The show may be gone and she may be past her hard-partying socialite days, but Hilton is still still holds court in the style arena, with fashionistas like Kate Middleton spotted wearing the same dresses she?s donned.
Hilton rewards herself for her hard work with a sparkling rock on her figure, which she dubs her ?good luck diamond.?
She says, ?I feel like I?ve worked really hard so I like to treat myself.?
[From People]
I do feel like Paris is taking a page out of Donald Trump?s book of just throwing out a number and claiming that?s what she?s worth. In this case, are we just supposed to take her word for it that her ?empire? is worth $2 billion? Because I don?t believe it. I?m sure there are places in the world where Paris?s perfume or whatever still sells, but $2 billion? Nah. As for Paris only playing dumb for her branding? I?ve seen her in interviews. She really is that mind-numbingly stupid. No joke.

| Hilary Duff says she was 'judged' for having a baby, 'pigeonholed' as a mom | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Hilary Duff was a cohost on The Talk Thursday when they brought up Jennifer Aniston’s longstandingpoint that she shouldn’t be judged for not having children. The Talk mentioned Aniston’s essay for The Huffington Post, which came out in July, and her Marie Claire interview last month, where she said she shouldn’t be “whittled down to a sad childless human.” Aniston was asked again about this on a recent British talkshow, Lorraine, and she repeated her point that tabloids are unfair to women and that “we’re reduced down, if we don’t have a baby or a white picket fence or a husband then we’re useless.” Aisha Tyler posed the question to The Talk pane “have you ever been judged through a narrow lens?” and that’s when Duff said that she gets judged for being a mom.
“I see her point and she is such beautiful role model, and a smart woman to have the courage to say these things in Hollywood. But like I feel like I was judged for having a baby and now, I’m pigeonholed for being like a ‘mom,’ but then lots of women in the industry that don’t have a child yet are judged for like not having a child.
“It?s crazy that women we are the most in demand and the most desirable but the most judged and the hardest on one another. So much scrutiny. No one cares about men?s personal lives as much as women.”
Aisha Taylor: “No one says to like a 45 year-old man ?You don?t have kids yet, oh so sad.??
[From The Talk via People]
She was responding to a specific question so it wasn’t as bad as I initially assumed. Duff’s career now is all about pap walks and social media and trying to drum up interest in her personal life. Don’t get me wrong she seems harmless and superficially “nice,” albeit clueless, I just haven’t read one article about how she had kids too young or which reduces her to being a “mom.” Aniston played into the “childless” narrative by talking about it post-split with Pitt, but it was very much real and the tabloids harped on it. Duff may feel judged and that’s real to her, but she’s not dealing with anything like what Aniston went through.

| Reese Witherspoon's 'Big Little Lies' HBO miniseries looks so good, you guys | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Reese Witherspoon at this weekend?s Sing premiere. Sing is the animated film where various animals are entering a singing competition, basically. Reese plays a singing pig named Rosita, and she apparently sings a lot of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. As for this premiere, Reese wore a cute little Elie Saab dress. I like it, it?s appropriate for this premiere and it?s flattering. Is it a tad boring? Sure.
Meanwhile, there was another reason why I wanted to talk about Reese! Earlier this year, Reese and several other actresses were hard at work on the HBO miniseries adaptation of Liane Moriarty?s Big Little Lies. Moriarty is an Australian writer best known for her very readable ?women?s fiction,? books like What Alice Forgot, The Husband?s Secret, and this one, Big Little Lies. My mom read this book and she loved it, but I haven?t gotten around to reading it. I will now, because the trailer for the miniseries looks amazing. Here you go:
Reese not only stars, but executive produces this as well, which is SO SMART. She must have read the book and decided that this character was perfect for her, plus it was a perfect vehicle for a female-led cast. The miniseries also stars Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Alexander Skarsgard, Adam Scott, Zoe Kravitz (who looks so much like her mother, my God) and more. This looks so good, y?all.
Oh, I?m also including a photo of Matthew McConaughey and Camila at the Sing premiere too.
